This is my 11th or 12th Epic, and I dare say this is the best one so far! I traded my Scott Spark RC for this bike. I thought I'd miss the Scott Twinloc Suspension System with a remote that adjusts the front and rear shocks to trail conditions. But I don't. The way Specialized tuned the Epic WC suspension, no remote control is necessary. When properly dialed in, which is very easy to do (watch the video), the Epic WC suspension automatically adjusts to trail conditions. It's firm on the climbs and sprints and soaks up the rocky and bumpy parts when necessary. I did need to install a Ground Control up front for the trail conditions in my area and I will use the Fast Trak as a rear tire (yeah they are excellent for rear tires) when the Renegade needs replacement. I appreciate the 170m crank and 34t ring on the medium build. Something I've always have to change until now. Thank you Specialized!

Previous whip = Model Year 2022 Epic Evo Pro.. I thought that bike was perfect but sold it to get the new iteration of the epic (i.e., Epic 8). When I found out the launch was delayed and I wouldn’t be able to get one until halfway through the riding season, I picked up the World Cup (Expert). I was worried that I was going back to a hardtail, ‘rattle can’ type ride, but this bike has been anything but that. I simply added a dropper post to aid with steeper, more rugged descents, and let me tell you.. this thing rips both up and down.. The geometry is dialed, the suspension is just right, not too short, not too long. I’d say it’s just as capable as my old evo, and I would say it peddles as good as any thoroughbred XC race bike out there. Plus, this might be the most drop-dead gorgeous mountain bike ever built. TLDR – More capable than advertised, phenomenal bike. Recommended to not just racers, but enthusiasts who enjoy both efficiency and comfort.

Quite Possibly the Fastest PR Crushing Bike you will ever own !! This bike to me rides like a cross country race machine, with the ability to do so much more, it corners like a Nascar, it handles steep rocky rooty downhills like a champ, it is well balanced for small -medium sized jumps as well, all around a thoroughbred bike meant to do MANY things very well, it can be set up so many different ways to compliment the terrain you are riding, all in a lightweight package that delivers the most excellent Plush ride you can ask for ,i have a all around biking background, so trust me when i say this BUY THIS BIKE and SEND IT !! im 52 years young and this bike makes me feel 30 again !
