I ordered the Diverge Comp E5 size 52. It's a beautiful bike.
Pros:
* Gearing, tires, frame mount points (for bikepacking), weight.
Neutral:
* Futureshock is okay. It's certainly better than nothing, but it's no Redshift Shockstop.
Cons:
* I've been a flat handlebar rider for decades. I was hoping I would be able to transition to drop handlebars. After trying for several weeks, I've decided that it's a great bike, but in the end wasn't an enjoyable ride for me.
If you are used to road bikes and want to switch to gravel, this bike is highly recommended. If you are coming from MTB and want a gravel bike, look at the Diverge EVO instead. I ended up returning the Diverge Comp E5 and getting a Diverge EVO Comp. The EVO is nearly the same bike with a flat handlebar.
Summary: Specialized Diverge is a great gravel bike, highly recommended. Consider carefully whether drop handlebars (COMP E5) or flat handlebars (EVO) is the better bike for you.
