STRENGTHS - Fast, handle well (even in windy conditions), comfortable, great steel bearings, gloss black decals look understated and classy (if that's an aesthetic you like). WEAKNESSES - Easy to scuff or scratch (see tips/tricks below), installing/removing tyres can be difficult (see tips/tricks below), spokes on the ‘drive side’ of the rear wheel sit against one another and rub (put grease or wax between them). TIPS - Clean with a good quality microfibre cloth and warm water. - **Always** place cloth or thin rubber between the rim and a tyre lever to prevent damage to the rim. - **Always** place tyre beads in the deeper central channel of the rim so they have enough slack when you’re pushing them over the rim’s sidewall. You should be able to install most tyres with thumbs. - To remove a tyre, push one of the tyre beads into the central channel of the rim—this is the tyre bead you'll pull over the sidewall of the rim using tyre levers.

The roads I ride on are very rural when you get to a opening of a hedge/ farmers gate the crosswind is twitchy bum time. 63mm too big for me.

Technisch und optisch Top. Der Preis ist recht Hoch, dafür ist das Systemgewicht höher als bei der Konkurenz.

Awesome all Around Performance

2500 miles,2 flats on continental 5000's. Still true as the day i got em' love these wheels,stiff,strong,lightweight!

Un peu inquiet de la hauteur de la roue avant en 51mm, elle se fait oublier dès que l'on roule, peu sensible au vent. Elle offre tellement de qualités que j'en suis vraiment étonné. Permettre de telles performances en utilisation classique, c'est un progrès spectaculaire par rapport à mes anciennes jantes carbone haut de gamme de 32mm. Couplée au TARMAC SL7, c'est la définition même d'un superbike!

I applaud Specialized for acknowledging the issues with road tubeless and building a really outstanding set of tube-only road wheels. Up front I have to say that my experience with road tubeless has been so poor that I simply will not ride tubeless. I now have half a dozen rides on these wheels and am delighted. Simply delighted. So far, the most crosswind I have experienced is 15 mph gusts and the wheels react quite gently; far more so than the similarly dissimilar front/rear wheels I have from another manufacturer. The Rapides smooth the road quite noticeably, and hold a line precisely on steep curving descents and don't get thrown off by surface irregularities. Very predictable and confidence inspiring. I am using SWorks 28mm tyres. I am looking forward to putting in many more miles in any condition.
