Mais parfois, rouler simplement pour rouler, rouler par amour du vélo, c'est exactement ce dont nous avons besoin. Et c'est de là qu'est né l'Aethos. Bien entendu, il est axé sur la performance et se trouve être l'un des cadres les plus légers du marché, mais sans compromis sur le style. Pour commencer, chaque cadre passe par l'un des processus de peinture les plus méticuleux que nous n’ayons jamais réalisés. La peinture argent liquide brossé en édition limitée est extrêmement difficile à appliquer. Une fois que chaque cadre est peint et pour assurer la plus grande qualité, ils sont polis à la main pour obtenir la finition argent brossé brillant.
To start, each frame goes through one of the most meticulous painting processes we’ve ever done. The limited-edition brushed liquid silver paint is extremely difficult to apply and to ensure the utmost in quality, after each frame is painted, they are buffed by hand to achieve the brilliant brushed silver finish.

Le châssis de l'Aethos a été pensé pour combiner style et performance tout en étant ultraléger. Des accélérations en montée, des descentes techniques aux longues journées en selle, il sait tout faire. Comment ? Nous avons réinventé les formes de tube classiques en les optimisant pour la rigidité et le comportement en conservant leur avantage en termes de poids. Ajoutez à cela un nouveau procédé de fabrication de carbone et toutes nos années d'expérience, vous obtenez un châssis de 585 gr (SW taille 56 cm). L'Aethos n'est pas juste un nouveau vélo, c'est le premier d'une nouvelle catégorie.
The Aethos frame has been designed with the perfect combination of ultimate ride feel, light weight, and style—from accelerating up steep pitches and descending technical descents, to all-day saddle comfort on even the longest coffee rides, the Aethos hits the mark. But how, you ask? By reinventing the traditional road shape found on bikes of the past, we’ve subtly altered these shapes to deliver massive gains in stiffness and balance, all without affecting weight or durability. Pair that with an entirely-new layup and process that we’ve perfected over multiple decades and you have the lightest frame out there (585 grams, S-Works, size 56cm). The Aethos is more than just a new bike, it’s the first of a new breed.

By studying the flexing and breathing of carbon fiber, we were able to discover groundbreaking findings about how forces flow through frames. Just a few pedal strokes and you’ll realize this sublime ride sets a new standard.
L'ensemble des composants, de la patte de dérailleur arrière jusqu'à l'expandeur, tout a été conçu avec comme objectif : l'esthétique, la légèreté et la durabilité. Nous avons ajouté à cela nos tout nouveaux composants Roval Alpinist. Tout cela dans la quête de l'expérience de roulage optimale.
