    What a fun bike!

Great all arounder! Needed a bigger spring, but the shop took care of that for free and gave me the old one! To the ride- upright pedal position took some getting used to, but it is perfect for this bike. Brakes are awesome, suspension works great, climbing is a breeze with the big gear in the back. Very long wheel base, super stable, but you need to lean it a ton to rail corners. Air em down and have a blast. Drops are good but you need to get back further than you may be used to. Only wish at this price is Carbon bars.

Great out of the box and better with a few mod's

Where I live in Arizona it's a lot of sharp, rocky terrain. I wanted a bike that could bomb descents but still climb well. For climbing, I was a bit concerned about the slack front but it is easy to keep the front inline and has endless traction so very happy there. As I mentioned, we have a lot of rocks here so I flipped the flip-chip to the high setting and run thin composite pedals. I plan to be hitting some downhill parks and for that I wanted to increase the progression of the rear suspension. I replaced the spring with a Cane Creek Vault progressive spring 500-610. This makes the rear much more progressive with more bottoming resistance for DH but maintains the awesome plushness and traction of the coil. I also added mynesweeper foam inserts to protect the carbon rims and avoid pinch flats. They are much lighter than CushCore liners, work as good or better, install easier and are half the price. Overall, I am very happy with the bike so far. I keep thinking about what else I could upgrade but the bike works so good now I think buying more parts will only make my wallet lighter but not make the bike any better.

Fun rig, climbs fine, details below!

Don't be scared by the low BB height and slack HTA - this bike can still be ridden as a trail bike without a shuttle or lift in sight. I've climbed 5,000ft routes on this bike (with the stock coil shock) just fine. I notice I have to throw more half-crank pedal strokes in to avoid pedal strikes when climbing but it hasn't slowed me down. Pros: This build is light! The Traverse 30 wheelset feels great, and the Code RSC brakes with the spec'd 200mm rotors offer a ton of stopping power. The bike is super fun to ride, especially on steep fast trails. Cons: The coil shock paired with the linear linkage kinematics (see Pinkbike's 'Behind the Numbers' analysis) mean the rear end bottoms out more easily than other bikes out there. This means you either have to chose to run a softer spring that prioritizes small bump sensitivity, or a stiffer one to reduce bottom outs. The stock 550lb spring feels a little soft for my weight, however, I've ridden fairly large rock rolls into big g-outs and jump lines without much issue. Note there is no HSC/HSR on the spec'd DHX2. If you're considering this bike, I highly recommend going for it.

    Nuova specy

Tutto perfetto. Specialized continua a preferire stabilit? in velocit? rispetto all'aspetto trialistico.
