Haven't had this much fun on a mountain bike in years!!

I bought my first mountain bike - a Specialized Hard Rock - in 1988 and have been mountain biking 3-5 days a weeks at least 8-10 months a year since 1996. I've ridden a wide, wide variety of bikes since then, from rigid singlespeeds to 170mm travel enduro bikes. After developing a heart condition in 2018, my physical riding ability sharply dropped and mountain biking became less fun. Regardless, I have been hardcore anti-Ebike for the last few years - until I rode one. The Turbo Levo Comp Alloy has unlocked all the biking fun I have been missing for years. The GX drivetrain is phenomenal and the ability to tune the power modes appeals to my inner data geek. I was skeptical of the mullet wheel design, but for a bike heavy bike, this thing handles phenomenally. I'm hitting jumps and drops I have been avoiding for over a year. I don't see putting many (any?) miles on my analog bikes going forward. This bike is just 100% fun!

First ride

First ride out rode almost 24mi, only used turbo a couple times and returned home just under 3hr and still had 60% battery. Goes up any hill!!! It’s nice to have the help when needed. I like the way the power comes on gradually as you put pressure on the pedals. This is definitely the best bike I’ve ever Bought. I was laughing going up the hills!!! Do yourself a favor and get one you won’t be disappointed!!!

So fun!

I'm in my late 50s, spent 29 years in the military and have a couple knee and spine surgeries behind me and some lung damage from breathing toxic fumes burn pits on deployments. I was doing OK with my Roubaix and Stumpjumper, but it was getting harder to keep up with my son and friends. Now I bike more often, for longer times, on those long grueling climbs, plus I don’t hurt afterwards. I get all the workout I want, just a little help if/when I need it. The battery lasts me for several rides as I use minimum or no assist when I can. I rented a Levo in CA a few times and I admit it took me a while to get used to some of the negative comments from people (and there was my pride). It took me about 3 years to let it go and now I am having a blast like a kid again!

Stoked Turbo Levo Comp Alloy

Bike is unbelievable ..Feels really comfortable from day one as a beginner or should I say a long break between riding. I am finding the little details like Chain guard,Frame stickers,Mission control make the difference. Power is smooth and bike is quiet it doesn't make a sound its just super solid. Not a lot of easy trails where I live riding mostly steep fire roads so turbo is great maybe overkill on the suspension and wheel setup but good to know Its ready if i step it up and grow into it. When doing research people like to knock Specialized for value but on sale with the two year warranty great battery life and power I am happy with my purchase. I learned its the iphone of bikes the benchmark so everyone is chasing it. The only thing i would change is putting some kine of O ring on the charge port door its muddy where I live and I cant just dry wipe it so i am paranoid cleaning it but so far so good. Also the new mastermind TCU would have been a sweet. Still Overall 5 stars !!

Fabulous bike

Absolutely love riding this bike. So smooth and handles beautifully on trails. Specialized have been an absolute pleasure to deal with also. The charger was making a little noise soon after I got, they replaced it immediately, no questions asked. Also they started the free battery deal a few weeks after I bought the bike. No problem at all, you can have one of those. My first Specialized bike, it definately will not be the last!

Excellent

Super happy with my Comp Alloy. I mainly ride rocky trails & technical/steep single track, and get 25~35 miles in 3.5~4 hours of riding & +/-4000 ft. of climbing on my custom presets (eco 40 or 45/100, trail 65 or 75/100, turbo 90/100, Accel 20 or 40%, Shuttle always 0%). You'd easily go more miles/time on mellower trails with less assist. Bike handles rock gardens & narrow single track both up and down, I use the +1deg steeper head tube angle. I got a great deal from my LBS on a black S3 so this was a no brainer. The best thing about owning a Turbo Levo is that you'll explore new trails and ride trails you'd maybe avoided in the past, this bike really can go anywhere. If your considering a e-MTB you will not be disappointed with the Alloy Comp with the 700W battery.

I have to tell you Specialized has absolutely nailed it with the Levo

I purchased another EMTB about 10 months ago and it has been decent but , I had to do many upgrades. Not with the Levo Comp alloy. The suspension is perfect front and rear. The bike shop set it up per factory specs and it is spot on. This is one bike I really feel no upgrades are needed. I did change the saddle to a Ergon ( personal preference) but from the first ride I was all smiles suspension smooth as butter, tires provide excellent grip and zero complaints on the drive train. It is clear from the details even little things like an excellent owners manual and awesome support from the day of purchase. One of the best warranties that I have seen. The motor is smooth powerful and and feels like natural assist. The motor is quiet too. The entire bike has no rattles, squeaks or parts of concern. Thank you Specialized. My other EMTB is no match so its up for sale!!

Turbo Levo Comp Alloy, it's a multi-use beast.

Have ridden Specialized for years now, still love my S-Works Stumpy analog. But my son is a NICA rider and drops me regularly on his Epic hardtail. Time to up my game. Bought a Turbo Levo Comp, and that bike makes me feel like I'm in my 20's again.

got the s6 and am happy with my purchase, really like both the frame/suspension. Bike is verry planted feeling as the frame/suspension setup gives a very stable but also very nimble handling. i can run faster with confidence down rocky downhills that with my other bike. Also can carry more speed into corners as the chassis is very confidence inspioring. The motor control is very effective in everything from tight technical single track to bombing down sweepy fast downhill. Good job Specialized, you haven't disapointed me. I will definatly buy another Specialized bike.

GRIN ON MY FACE ALL RIDE LONG!

GAME CHANGER! (Especially for this 50 yr old.) Love this bike. Coming from a Specialized Stumpy ('07 vintage) to this is MIND BLOWING. The reviews everywhere you look are on fire. I've been riding around 4 days a week since December 2022. So it has been just a little amount of time but I've been a cyclist since I was 13 years old and I know bikes. This bike is freaking awesome. It's a Tank in the good sense of the word. I bomb downhills. In the steep technical hills on climbs that I would normally jump off and hike it is like a tractor. Nothing is stopping me. @mtbtrailhunters

Thank you, may I have another?

We have a few ebike Mtbs in our arsenal that are more low end. I came across a used Levo demo for sale this summer at my local bike shop I loved it so much, I had to buy another when they announced the flash sale. The Levo is plush, light, and so much fun to ride. My biggest problem with it is that i don't have much interest in riding any of my older bikes. 1 is a mullet and 1 is a full 29er. Both are great but I seem to favor the mullet. The only Con is the battery is NOT removable. Which is very helpful if you are camping.

2022 Levo Alloy Comp

The Bad: The dropper seat post does not always go down. Apparently if your butt pressure is more towards the back of the saddle, the seat does not go down. I contacted XFusion and they know about the issue. The customer care rep Darren said it's because of the angle of the seat post. Specialized should find a solution and change or modify the part. The Good: Overall its a great bike and I like the geometry, it can be changed according to your riding style. The suspensions are really good considering the mid/low tier of this bike. It's extremely plush yet it still offers support when needed. The reccomemded set up is spot on. I tried to change few things just out of curiosity but I went back to the original setting. The engine if simply superb and if you use your riding modes wisely, the range is quite long. The app is really good and it offers a wide variety of tuning. The whole system is very well enginered. This bike works really well and for me It's a solid 5 star!!

Love this ride

I purchased a Levo SL in 2019. This was my first E-BIKE and the shop did not have any other E-Bikes to compare at the time. The Levo SL blew me away and I still ride it almost every day going on 1500 miles. I still wanted to ride a regular Levo -95 newton meters torque ,but no one offers any down in New Orleans where I live , since we don't have mountainous terrain. I saw the Levo Comp online with the new gen 3 mag motor and decided to purchase it online from Specialized. I have had this bike for about 3 weeks now and the motor is so quiet , you can barely hear it. The mullet style set-up is super playful on trails and the bike handles great for the weight. The torque is incredible in Turbo. Between my SL and my new Levo ,I am pretty much set to go anywhere and conquer anything. Thanks Specialized!

Stellar ride

The ride is amazing it can climb anything steep and nasty. It downhills like a true enduro and corners like it’s on rails. I ride rough trails on roots and rocks it takes it all on. At 53 it lets me ride like I did 30 yrs ago. I have put over 850 miles on this year since May that’s unbelievable not a single issue Specialized has created an amazing rig Ride on

Good value, but not an S-Works

I am 5’11” 160lbs and the suspension is very harsh for me, even when I let out enough air that I regularly use 90% of the travel with no jumping. The shock sag with that lower air pressure is more than recommended, and results in more pedal strikes, but gives the best ride I can get out of the bike after eight months of adjustments, but still too rough and harsh. The seat post does not go down under my body weight without a small bump. I clean the bike after each use and use SRAM butter near the seal on the pistons of the suspension components and seat post before every ride to try and make everything work as well as possible. The brakes require 2 finger effort and the original pads were very noisy. On the plus side, you are getting the same motor, battery, firmware, and app as the S-Works. Also, the heavier alloy frame and SRAM GX derailleur work just fine for me.

This bike is a beast!

This is my first eMTB and all i can say is "WOW!!!!". This bike is an absolute all around monster on the liftless mountians. Having the electric assist means you climb stuff faster, which means you get to do more downhill runs in the same amount of ride time. After just 3 rides on the bike i am already blasting down my favorite trails much faster since i have more practice on those trails now. The bike carries so much speed downhill due to the extra weight, and it feels super stable and planted yet flickable and nimble when you need it to be. Im 6'0" and went with S4 and it fits me perfectly. Besides 3 fully customizable power assist modes, via the Mission Control app you can sync your heart rate monitor to the bike via "smart control" and set a target heart rate where the bike will automatically tailor assist levels to maintain your set heart rate; an absolute amazing feature for fitness training. Im absolutely in love with this bike. It makes me want to ride every single day.

Wow! I feel like a superhero!

I've had this bike for 3 weeks and put about 60 miles on it so far. I am 5'11" and went with the S4. My first two rides were on the same battery charge. Totaling 25 miles & 5,100 feet of elevation gain (mostly on the #2 assist level, sometimes the#3) and I still had about 15% battery remaining. I rode 35 miles with 6,000 vertical feet on my other three rides on a single charge (also mainly on #2 assist level) and that all but wiped out the battery. It is quiet and smooth and handles everything I've thrown at it with ease. I've been looking at e-bikes for the past two years. I still get a full-blown cardio workout on this bike--I can just go further in a shorter amount of time. The suspension is great, the drive train is great. It is for sure heavier than a standard mountain bike for getting it in and out of the truck and lifting it over logs, but that also dampens the vibrations on the downhill. I am impressed with how smooth the motor assist is. I love this bike!

2 Months in... Turbo Levo Comp Alloy

So I could not be happier with my purchase. This bike is an engineering marvel. It handles so well. There are so many ways one can customize the bike's geometry that its sick. The app works well and love how easy it is to change the power output settings on the fly. The battery totally outlasts me (not talking eco but trail mode). So glad after endless research I went with it. BTW.. my opinion is that cost vs return on investment; hands down goes to the Comp Alloy.

Short answer is, Wow!

My Gen 1 Levo has been a great reliable bike which has been a blast to take out and ride on forest roads and trails, sandy beaches, and even snow. Keeping my eye on the ups and downs of the newer Levo I thought I would wait until the “bugs” were worked out before ever considering another one. As the 2022+ are starting to close out I decide to pop in and take a look at the Alloy Comp. All I can say is Wow. This model is so much more refined, balanced and smooth to ride, as well as dead quite. Originally thought the components might need upgrading based on some of the reviews, yet so far haven’t found a thing that didn't feel right. Even the flo-red color pops more than you would expect. Just get on and ride.

No regrets

Have definitely put in 3X more miles in a week then I would have on my Mtb. I sure do miss my Evo Elite Alloy, but I love my Turbo Levo Comp hands down. This really is a do it all EMtb. Picking up speed in whatever direction you point this bike in is no challenge at all. The weight of the bike is no issue upon liftoffs, which was a big concern when looking into purchasing a EMtb. That is clearly not the issue with this bike at all.

So Awesome!

Loving my new bike!!! It gives me help where I need it, going over obstacles on the uphill. On the downhill it’s a dream! I love the mullet wheel setup, I feel the playfulness on steep burn turns and it’s stability on drops. It’s more sustainable for my heart rate. And I am riding two times what I used to, and not walking my bike uphill anymore 🤣 So Awesome!

Game changer

This bike is a game changer! I am able to ride 3x the distance compared to my analog bike, in the same amount of time. At first I didn’t think I would get a good workout, boy was I wrong. You get a great workout without maxing out your heart rate. I’m in my 50s and this is a big deal to me. It also depends on who you ride with, If you ride with analog riders you won’t get much of a workout and the ride feels like it’s in slow motion. This bike shreds uphill climbs and bombs the downhills. Well worth the price in my opinion. See you on the trails!

I just purchased this bike

I just purchased this bike two weeks ago and have over 100 miles on it now. I love everything about it except for the door and latch to the power cord. The dealer told me they were both weak and to be “very” careful but I still broke the latch on the inner cord on my 3rd use. It is not clear how to replace this part. The latch pivot is a 1mm plastic rod and very flimsy.

I have always enjoyed mountain

I have always enjoyed mountain biking, but this bike takes the fun to a whole new level! I can climb things I was never able to do before on my acoustic bike. I can confidently bomb down hill because I still have the energy to do so after climbing. The weight of the bike makes you feel like you can corner on rails and it simply feels solid and secure. Anyone who says you don't get a good "workout" on an e-bike has truly never ridden an e-bike before. I can go at least twice as many miles in the same amount of time as I did with my acoustic and I definitely feel like I had to work for it, just in a different way. I actually look forward to the hills so I can rest up the climb, because it is ON as soon as I start coming down the hill again! I wish everyone could have an e-bike so they could experience this level of fun!

Enjoy the uphill climb as much as the downhill

This Turbo Levo Comp is my first e-bike, and I was unprepared for how much I would enjoy this. The first ride experience was incredible. I rode 17 miles in 1.5 hours when I only intended on going 4-5. I am shocked that I now enjoy the uphill climb as much as the downhill. It feels like riding 4-stroke dirt bikes on backcountry trails, except there is no noise, and I still get a workout. The Mission Control app is intuitive, and I like that I can control the power settings. The few times I did stop on an uphill climb, I appreciated that power comes immediately upon pedal touch so that I can 'launch' back on the trail as if it was level ground. One word of advice is to save money in your budget for the extra items such as a better helmet, kneepads, durable gloves, thicker shoes, and padded shorts and extra tires/wheels because you will cover a lot of trail with this bike.

Amazing!

Three months with the bike and I could not be happier. Took it to Bentonville and had a blast. Rode 3x more than I could if I had a normal bike. It is fast, powerful and flies.

I have been mountain biking

I have been mountain biking for years and have really enjoyed it, but this Specialized Levo Turbo Comp is the best bike I have ever ridden. It has taken me to new levels of climbing that I had thought were gone as I am getting older. I still get a great workout and am able to go places I previously couldn’t. This bike has been nothing but fun for me and I highly recommend it.

One of the best

After trying a couple ~$7,000 shop-bike offerings, I demoed this bike for 20+ miles today. This handles better and has better build quality. So much power on the 100% boost. Left it in eco most of the time and bumped it to trail for the climbs. However, I will not buy this year's model as there are no Shimano components. SRAM's drivetrain doesn't feel as silky smooth on the shifts, especially in situations under load with this much power. I prefer Shimano's more even gear spacing vs SRAM's 10t jump from 42t-52t. Also slightly biased towards a full 29er for its all-around trail ability vs the mullet's technical tilt.

Perfect

Motor is powerful, quiet and responds instantly and naturally to input. Battery is large for long range. I mostly ride fire roads with lots of hills and think the bike works perfectly for these roads.

I am digging my new

I am digging my new gen 3 alloy. Such an amazing bike. Sweet suspension feel and tons of power. I’m a bit sad not to have the new cool display that comes on the carbon rigs but hey , $7500 was more in my budget. The mission control app is so killer tho and that screen has it all too. Just a great bike.

OMG the most fun Ive

OMG the most fun Ive ever had on a bike! Okay my biggest question before taking one of these on the trails was how would this heavy bike handle? How playful would it be? These bikes check all the boxes. The extra weight makes them super stable which is good because the speeds are addictive. Is it playful? Yes but in a different way your not gonna wheelie allot or do a bunch of bunny hops but the trail takes completely different form at these speeds. Uphill now actually have jumps in it, mud makes you smile, and cornering is off the charts! For those of you skeptical about loosing fitness or these bikes being to easy my heart rate is actually the same on this as my pedal bike. Keep in mind it will on boost what you put in it, this is not a motorcycle. Run time is what you make it. You can cruise and easily get 4-5 hours out of it or put it turbo mode and watch the meter drain. Ive yet to run the battery dead but did get close after a 2 hour ride on turbo.

Awesome bike. Can’t wait for better weather to pedal this machine. Finding myself climbing steeper terrain that originally was not accessible on a traditional pedal bike! The world just got a bit bigger!

Great bike, coming from a Stump Jumper

I’ve been riding an StumpJumper the past 3 years and the overall feel is very similar to me. The bike is fantastic downhill. It absorbs chatter, break bumps, and overall trail noise with ease. Having borrowed my friends Trek e-bike that’s was 29” front and back, I find the Levo to be way more maneuverable and handles corners much better, which I feel is in large part to due the “mullet” design (29” in front 27.5” in back). Switchbacks don’t feel much different from my Stumpy. The brakes are really responsive as well. Overall I’m beyond pleased!. Setting aside the fact that I love the way the bike handles and rides, Its so awesome that I can ride with anyone! I have friends that ride hundreds of miles a week, and I always felt like they were doing a charity ride with me due to our speed differences. Not anymore! And when I ride with my 9 year old, I turn the bike off and just mosey with her. Bottom line is you get to choose your effort, burn, and just have fun! Love it!

This bike is so much

This bike is so much fun to ride. Got me back into mountain biking and I had no problem on first (18-mile) ride out with my pal only using eco mode for about half the ride. So nice having the ability to kick in motor on inclines but turn it off on flat and downhill runs.

Enjoyable rides to come.

She puts A BIG SMILE on my face every time I ride her and even after the ride 😜. Now I can focus more on my riding techniques instead of just grinding myself. I am 5'5". S2 fits me perfectly. And 29/27.5 setup rocks. I AM A HAPPY MAN.

I really have been loving

I really have been loving my Levo Alloy. Being an older rider I like the ability to have the little extra needed on long ascents so I don't feel like coughing up a lung. The full suspension is great for downhill. My son seems envious. The app to measure and record routes and miles biked is top notch. Can't wait to take it out on some blue and black trails this spring.

Amazing refinement

I was waiting for the alloy versions to come out and it was well worth the wait. This bike has been well refined from the Gen 2. It may not be quite the all-rounder that the ‘19-21 bike was but this new geometry fits my riding style better. Very similar feel to my ‘21 Stump Evo Expert.
