Unicorn Bicycle

I like to go fast, but I also really appreciate comfort. I feel like the new Roubaix nailed it. I was due for an upgrade (coming from a 2016 Tarmac) and if you're in a similar boat, you're going to be giddy about the aerodynamic advancements. I was skeptical of the wind tunnel data assuming it mostly applied to professional cyclists, but I definitely feel the aerodynamic benefits even at casual paces. Prior to purchase, I was concerned about one negative review I saw on YouTube related to tail end comfort. Luckily I think that guy must have been running the wrong tires / pressure. No saddle discomfort for me and I have historically had problems with this on other bikes. The Future Shock 2.0 is also pretty fun. I leave it in comfort position most of the time unless I'm going for a Strava PR on pavement. It really helps dampen even 1"" deep cracks / potholes - the stuff that used to wreck me. One thing that I am disappointed with is that the standard build doesn't come tubeless compatible (wheels aren't recommended for conversion). I ended up doing a custom build with some nice tubeless ready carbon wheels. Also need to comment on the beauty of the frame. The magic unicorn paint job ""Tarmac Black/ Satin Black Reflective"" really turns heads the way it sparkles in the sun : ) Don't worry about the money - you have plenty of recovery time between rides to make some more!
