I love the material of these..very light and have held up to many miles of riding. The biggest issue is they stretch massively. I initially ordered a size 32 and now they are a size 40 (?) after one season. There is enough room to fit a second human in here now.

These shorts are very comfy for a hot Summer rip. However, there are two things I'd point out. The first is that it seems like they run big. I'm a 36 waist in EVERYTHING, and I got a 36 in these. The ladder buckle thing is great, but I have it pushed all the way in, as tight as I can make it, and they do not cinch up enough in the rear. They don't fall down in a way that promotes plumbers crack, but they certainly aren't tight either. The other thing is that the one and only pocket is prettttty small. Big enough for keys, and not much else. Just be aware. Otherwise, really nice, lightweight shorts. Spesh folk, if you read this, velcro tabs on the outside of shorts works just fine, and the top-of-the-thigh pockets that are on the Demo Pro pants are optimal placement for thing holders. Just saying.

Super lite weight, great fit, and great for hot weather riding.

I like the shorts besides the pockets or there lack of. There is only one small one that is not even large enough for my phone. The fit is great, the material has some stretch which I like, they are light weight great for warmer riding. Only complaint is pockets and if I read to he description better I might have realized that.

Quality materials. Great fit, not baggy. Very comfortable!

I am a size 34 and this is a true to size shorts. It is made up of light and thin material. The clasp area has unique design. It folds the material over as you ratchet the clasp in - much like wearing a sarong! I like to wear these shorts on the hot summer rides. It only has one pocket on the left pant leg.

Love them. I have 2 pairs of the trail air pants and love them and the shorts don’t disappoint. Very comfortable cut. Fantastic movement and flexibility. Shockingly durable fabric. Had a nasty crash that completely shredded my shirt and by all rights should’ve shredded my shorts and they came out completely unscathed and protected my skin. Buy them.

I was concerned with the Tropical Teal color thinking it would be too light but it wasn’t and looks better than the photo. My waist is 30 inches and their sizing chart guided me to a size 28 which was also concerning but no need to be - the fit was spot on if you measure yourself. The inside of the 1 zippered pocket sits behind your leg which will keep items from too much movement - my favorite feature and I could fit a standard size iPhone in there although snugly. And lastly the material is extremely lightweight like I was expecting.

These are shorts. Not much to say. Material and fit is great. Material is a bit stretchy, and lightweight. Wish there was another pocket, but these are great. Will probably buy another pair or two based on the first pair.

They stretch. When I first put them on they fit great. They now are too big. I love the shorts. They super light and don’t hold stains.

Pricey but the features and fit are great. Was hesitant on the waist closure since I often wear a hip pack or waist belt from pack, but the buckle closure is flat and don't feel it. The pocket placement on lateral point of thigh is perfect to be able to put a phone perfectly and not feel it but access while you ride. Material weight is light with laser cut edges offers very good feel but not so light that you feel exposed.

Spendy, but very worth it. Super lightweight and comfortable. I really like the fit, the band tightens nicely, and I would highly recommend.

Beautiful and very comfortable stealth short. My only wish would be side pockets on both sides. The clever and simple entry to these shorts eliminating an uncomfortable front zipper really appreciated when riding. Beautifully made, incredibly stretchy and light. A win win. Good color choices. Liked them so much I purchased 2, black and dk brown.

Loving these shorts but wish I dozed down. I bottom out the ratchet and this is my all day size in any other brand or jeans etc. size down… there’s room.

The Trail Air Short does not have loops to connect to a liner, like the SWAT bibs. First Specialized apparel product I would rather send back than keep.

Air is worth it.

These shorts are solid, I love the hip fastener. They are sleek and comfy. The only downside is that they have one small pocket. Doesn't bother me as I have a bib with all kinds of pockets for my stuff. I'll admit I felt silly after loading my bike/gear up from a ride and then scratching around my hips subconsciously for like 2 minutes before remembering the shorts didn't have hand pockets. 4.9/5

A rare perfect fit for me!

Very impressed with these shorts. The fabric has just the right amount of stretch with plenty of freedom of movement. Contrary to the other review, I felt the length was just right with ample room for knee pads. The belt closure system is well designed. When paired with the SWAT bibs, there are plenty of storage options. The shorts are well ventilated and feel great next to your skin.

I purchased three pairs of these thinking they were going to be ""the ones"" for the next year or so.... But unfortunately they are too long. Not like a little too long but by about 2 inches. I even downsized and feel like Specialized really missed the mark for the shorter rider. Reallybummed how this worked out s I am 4360 deep with shorts that are too long to ride in.
