In the shoulder seasons, you'll find that conditions are far from ideal, but not so intense that you'll form icicles from your nose. In these times of year, you'll find a solid minimalist jacket, like our Women's Element 1.0 Jacket, will be the ideal piece for your ride.

The jacket is made from our Element™ Soft Shell material, which is both wind- and water-resistant, as well insulating. And as the 1.0 iteration of this jacket, this fabric is used throughout order to provide coverage and protection from the elements where it's needed most. The fabric is also extremely lightweight and malleable, so you'll experience the perfect amount of stretch in all of the right places throughout the motions of cycling. Its use equates to a lightweight, minimal barrier between you and the elements, which is perfect for fair conditions or any fall/winter riding at a hard pace.

The Element 1.0 also includes additional weather-fighting properties, like a pop collar that prevents unwanted chills and moisture from entering the jacket via the neck opening. And lastly, three rear pockets and one zippered security pocket at the back handle storage duties.

  • Element Soft Shell knit fabric is used throughout, providing exceptional levels of insulation and breathability, while also being quite adept at resisting both wind and water.

  • Three standard back pockets and zippered back security pocket provide ample room for storing your essentials.

  • Pop collar seals out the cold and adds a little extra protection from the elements.

  • Reflective elements increase your visibility to motorists in low-light conditions.

  • Bluesign® approved fabric.

  • Deflect™ UV 50+ protects the skin against harmful UV rays.

  • Form Fit provides a second-skin feel without inhibiting movement or flexibility.

  • Fabric weight: 198g

Perfect Jacket

I absolutely love this jacket! the rear pockets are deep and they are tapered on both sides of the jacket for easily getting your hand in and out. Fit is snug but very comfortable and mailable. I wore this jacket on the road in 35* with wind in addition to a sleeveless baselayer and a long sleeve baggy jersey. turquoise color is popping. Zipper is easy up and easy down and love the locking zipper that allows you to just pull the side of jacket and it unzips or have the zipper pulley in locked position so it stays put. Definitely love this jacket and recommend it!

Awesome jacket!

The Element 1.0 jacket is a great piece to add to your cycling wardrobe. I've found this jacket to be versatile and a beneficial piece of clothing! I am 5'2"" and my measurements say I'm an XS. It is form-fitting, but I can wear it over a baselayer and short sleeve jersey easily. I have longish arms, so I do not often utilize the nifty thumb holes because it puts too much pressure on the area between my thumb and index finger. The nice thing is the jacket fits well, even tho it's snug, it doesn't feel restrictive. If you wanted more room for lots of layers or a slightly more casual look, size up! This jacket is made of a soft shell material and is water and wind resistant. I've had this be my go-to for two years in a row during a mountain bike race that has consistently had colder October temps. There is a mix of road and trail riding, so I've found it to be very useful in keeping my cozy when riding on the open road. The zipper is easy to use, so when on mountain bike trails I'd open the jacket up some to cool off as needed. I'll admit, I was probably too warm at times, but at the same time I didn't want to be too cold! I am much better at knowing what I need to wear for mountain biking vs. road/mtb mix. On a recent ride, I wore the Specialized Seamless Merino LS Baselayer and the jacket without any additional layers and it was perfect! Temperatures were in the Mid to Low 40's and the riding was solely on singletrack. I didn't feel too hot nor too cold, it was quite perfect. I would say that depending on what you use for layering, you could wear this jacket from 45-35 degrees. Obviously, it would also depend on the day and riding- sunny, cloudy, cloudy & damp, etc. The pockets are very handy and the reflective elements add some safety/visibility. All in all, a great piece of clothing to keep you comfortable for a variety of temperatures!
