I have enjoyed this bike.

This was my first bike and my intro into the world of cycling. For 1500, I got a quality bike that has taken me on a century and a triathlon, and I plan on using it for much more in the future. It also looks way better in person than in the pictures.

Great all around bike

I was looking at the tarmac when I came across the Diverge Elite DSW and found out it was created for canal/fire paths and the road which made it a very versatile bike based on my needs. The bike rides and shifts very smoothly, climbs hills like a champ, and great for long rides. I've had the bike just about 12 months and completed a century bike race and a triathlon on it and I never think twice about my choice. The bike has just over 1,000 miles on it and the only modification made was the tires for the races (700x28)

Smooth Ride and Very Efficient

Purchased this bike to replace an aging 2000 Trek USPS 5200. Even though the Specialized Diverge Elite DSW is made of aluminum and my Trek is full carbon, the Diverge felt smoother and more compliant than my Trek. My LBS said that the new aluminum bikes have a more compliant ride that my early carbon Trek road bike. I do not feel that I have given up much in terms of top speed and with the lower gearing that my Trek, I feel I can climb better in my ""zone"". Overall bump and road imperfection absorption is first rate. It seems those Zertz inserts must be doing their job. The overall handling even at 45 mph going downhill is very stable. I like the more upright position over my Trek so that on longer rides I do not feel as much neck and shoulder discomfort. Getting older you know! I tried similar bikes from Trek, Felt, and Giant but came back to the Specialized that seemed to have the overall best ride, handling and comfort. Even though it is approximately six pounds heavier than my Trek, the only time I feel this weight difference is during a sprint or a short climb. Overall, I would recommend you demo this bike. It will be one of your top choices if you are looking for a bike in this sector.
