Hemisphere Armadillo Reflect

I've had three sets of these tires. They are just fine, until they are not. On two front tires have the outer tread layer separated from the flat protection layer, making a noisy and bumpy bubble. Specialized needs to modify some aspect of design, mfg process or QA before I buy any more.

I am a bike messenger in NYC and I have been using these tires for 2.5 months before my first flat! These tires held up and are STILL holding up rolling over constant glass and whatever else is on the streets here. They require a minimum of 75psi for the 700cX38mm tires, but I have them inflated at 80-85psi. Because the psi is higher than most tires that size they are more stiff, but that goes a long way with deflecting certain things and making for a faster ride overall! The reflective band around makes for a safer ride and they look great on the whip!

Tires look good and appear to be constructed well😂. First set of tires lasted about 12,years. Hopefully these new ones will mirror the first set.

If you ride on the road, these tires are a must have. I bought these to replace a set I’ve had for more than 10 years. They just last and have great tread life.

I have been using this series of tire for about 6 years. The tread has changed some but the performance remains. Wet or dry, the tire holds the road. The center profile offers a smooth ride on the road. The edge profile grips softer terrain. I ride a hybrid bike in the city, rail trail, canal trail, across fields when necessary. I ride in all four seasons. This is my only tire to buy.

This tire rocks the road whether it is off road or in town. The flat protection is great and so far I haven't had change a tube on my rides. I use them on both my hybrid and my road bike. Best tire for the price.

This tire is smooth on roads, handles the dirt and gravel, good groves for wet roads, and has the reflective stripe on it that is easily seen. It is well worth the price.
