Consider Vado your high-performance transportation bike, getting you where you’re going with an unmatched combination of speed, reliability, and confidence. Whether you load it up with your stuff, or jump on and go, commute to work, or ride to the gym, Vado’s full power and huge range will get you from ‘point A’ to ‘point B’ ASAP.

The Specialized Vado has everything you need for e-powered transport. It brings a balanced nature to the way it handles and superior levels of comfort. This is a true class leader of its type.

TURBO: The heart of the Vado is its Turbo technology, an advanced and integrated electric bike system that delivers an unequaled combination of power, natural feel, anti-theft functions, training tips, and a full-function bike computer.

POWERFUL: It’s you, just faster — it’s 4x You. The Turbo Full Power system senses the force you apply to the pedals and naturally quadruples it for an experience that makes getting up any hill or to any destination no sweat. Literally.

COMFORTABLE AND CONFIDENT: Body position and handling are optimized to deliver unsurpassed riding comfort, confidence, and control. Powerful hydraulic disc brakes reign in your speed, while larger tires provide maximum traction for turning and stopping.

SMOOTH: Stay comfortable in the saddle with an 80mm front suspension fork, higher volume tires, and a plush suspension seat post that smooths harsh bumps from points A to B.

SECURE: Vado has anti-theft lock built right into the bike. Prevent would-be bike thieves by disabling the motor with a press of a button so no one can turn on the motor without your phone connected to the Specialized app or your personalized pin. The Vado’s battery locks in the bike or can be easily taken with you. And if anyone tries to move your bike an alarm will sound. Beat it, thieves.

The speed limit at which the motor will stop supporting may vary significantly by region and is based on local requirements. It may also affect range: a higher speed limit may result in less range.

  • Turbo Full Power 2.2 motor and 710Wh battery offer an unparalleled riding experience, providing a smooth, seamless, and shockingly quiet amplification of your efforts, up to 28 mph. The integrated controller responds to your pedal inputs resulting in intuitive amplification of your efforts with an incredibly natural feel.

  • Turbo Full Power 2.2 motor and 710 Wh battery offer an unparalleled riding experience, providing a smooth, seamless, and shockingly quiet amplification of your efforts, up to 15.5 MPH / 25 km/h. The integrated controller responds to your pedal inputs resulting in intuitive amplification of your efforts with an incredibly natural feel.

  • Proven Smooth Efficiency - We designed a custom testing mechanism to analyze bumps at even the smallest frequency to increase comfort and vision. That precision, paired with a suspended seatpost, higher volume tires, and an 80 mm suspension fork, will flatten roads before your eyes.

  • Turbo System Lock - Use the Specialized app to disable your bike’s motor and activate the motion sensor alarm. Once locked, the motor cannot be enabled again except by the owner.

Excellent bike - all that

Excellent bike - all that I’d hoped for to continue cycling g with a left arthritic hip and knee. It’s excellent to soar up hills know that it’s so painful on the knees to peddle up hills.

Turbo Vado 5

Hi, I just completed a very comfortable extended Lands End to John O Groats on my Turbo Vado! Avearage 55 miles and 2300 feet ascent per day with plenty of battery left at the end of the day. For the larger part we carried all our camping equipment (posted it home when we hit the highlands as we didn’t want to camp in the midges). A few minor maintenance things on route but basically bike was fabulous! Definitely recommend it. My only criticism is the front mud guard is a bit too long, when off road as it catches on things and bits of leaves, broken etc often get tangled up.

I bought this bike as

I bought this bike as a replacement for my 3.5 year old e-bike, so comments are more of a comparison than if it was my first e-bike. I wanted a bike that was more comfortable and with a larger battery capacity. It is more comfortable with sprung forks, but the jury is still out on the 'on paper' larger battery based on 550 miles use. The bike arrived in good time and well packed, only having to straighten the handle bars and raise the saddle. Managed a short test ride 22miles with 750mtr accent only using eco and sport settings - disappointed to see battery level at 62%. Did a second 62miles and 330 mtr ascent using only eco and finished with 25% - which seems a little light. I have done a number of 75mile and 1400mtr rides on existing bike with a bit of battery left. Third test was using the smart mode in the app - set it to 65mile and 1200mtr and 'strangely' got me home with 23%. I bought the bike to do a 200mile hilly ride (hence the 3 test rides) after my bike failed 2 weeks before. But a problem arose in smart mode with the power being dropped unexpectedly up a steep 25% climb, causing almost a stop - pressed power up to over ride, which worked but only for about 15yds - so by keep upping the power got to the top - finished 65mile ride with 25% left - so not short of power - think the software needs looking at. This has since happened a number of times. I think that the motor clutch is quite noisy, especially around the power cut-off speed of 15.5mph, where it tends to clatter in and out. This problem existed on my existing bike but was cured with a software update, which feathered out the power cut off. The build quality feels good and the rear radar is a nice touch. All my existing bikes are 700mm wheels with presta valves, these wheel seem an odd size which limits the choice of tyres in the future.I find the supplied tyres a little on the wide side and don't give the best grip on wet roads. Also I estimate the weight at about 26Kgs which is a bit heavy - and could do with shedding about 5Kgs - it makes it very heavy to peddle above the cut off speed, especially with full panniers. This might sound like a complaining review, but I would say if it was my first e-bike I would probably give it 5stars. But I am now getting used to it even the increased cadence speed - my old bike ran best around 60-65rpm - so to go to 75 rpm is a large change - but I am getting tuned into the change. So yes I probably would buy again and will I ride the old one when repaired - probably not.

Vado 5.0

First electric bike I’ve had after having a heart attack though I needed a bit of help can only say the help and power assistance is amazing the brakes are brilliant and a really great comfortable ride with great tyres when out and the radar pings up a vehicle is behind before you hear them.I would also like to say how helpful the staff were in choosing the bike and building it up for me nothing but helpful.
