Rear Wheel Cracked on First Ride

Got a pair of these wheels as a new install on bike I purchased used. To be fair, I can't confirm they were new. However they were never registered and had zero signs of visible use. The rear wheel cracked nearly in half at low speed on a pretty smooth trail. The first nine miles were amazing, unfortunately that's all the experience I got on them. I was riding a full suspension bike and weigh 165 pounds, so not what I would expect under mild riding conditions for such a high cost wheel. Talking to two different shops, this seems to be an issue with this particular wheelset. If you can show proof of purchase, I'm told Specialized has a great replacement policy. Just be sure to register your wheels in time to take advantage of the 2 year window from purchase.

If you can afford them go 4 it

I had been looking at carbon wheels and couldn't justify spending $2500 for a set of wheels.... that's just crazy.....even at the sale price of $1875 they are costly.....but the weight.....yeah they are feather light and reviews on durability are good....plus I'm only 155lbs and not a technical rider, so that should put to rest my concerns. Riding these...just one ride as of this review....well money spent has been forgotten.....these noticably roll faster and bike now get more air easier.....I do like them, but wouldn't have considered them at full price. For XC these are probably the best wheels currently available bar none

Great wheels

Came stock on my Epic Evo. More than 2000 miles of ruts roots and rock gardens so far with no issues whatsoever. Haven't even had to tighten a spoke. Really lightweight and engagement is quick.

These wheels are AWESOME. They

These wheels are AWESOME. They are lighter than my Enve 525 and they are wider. My 2.2 tires normally measure about 2.25 wide on my Enve wheels. They measure 2.35 on these wheels.
