With six wins at Paris-Roubaix, our Roubaix has proven that Smoother is Faster. Until this moment, however, smooth has admittedly come with some compromises. But not anymore. The all-new Roubaix Comp now delivers compliance without compromise by introducing a radical new Future Shock 1.5 that gives you more control on rough roads, a new Pavé seatpost that creates our most balanced Roubaix to date, aerodynamics that equal the Tarmac, and a Rider-First Engineered™ frame that’s shed some serious weight. Is it still comfortable? Sure, but don’t call it a comfort bike, because performance was behind every engineering decision we made. This is the new Roubaix.

This Roubaix Comp provides a tremendous value, but like the frame itself, this value doesn’t come with any compromises. We spec’d it with Shimano’s Ultegra Di2 for its crisp shifts and powerful hydraulic disc brakes, as well as smooth and sturdy DT R470 Disc wheels, the all-new S-Works Pavé seatpost, 28mm Turbo Pro tires, and our fan-favorite Power Comp saddle.

  • The new frame delivers compliance without compromise via the perfect balance of aerodynamics, light overall weight via a FACT 10r carbon construction, compliance, and Rider-First Engineering™. With tube shapes that were born in our FreeFoil Shape Library and validated in the Win Tunnel, the new Roubaix’s as aero as the Tarmac SL6. Meanwhile, to ensure the weight and ride quality, we turned to a Rider-First Engineered™ design to deliver optimal stiffness and compliance across all sizes, from 44 to 64cm. Of course, the frame has shed some serious weight in the process. And to prep you for your own Hell of the North, we’ve made room for 33mm tires.

  • To go along with the new frame, we’ve also developed a totally-new S-Works Pavé seatpost. Not only is it the first compliant seatpost that’s also aerodynamic, it does so without any additional weight or finicky contraptions. Starting with the same D-shape design found on the Tarmac, we took its compliance a step further by building additional flex into the upper and developing a new drop-clamp design in the frame. This provides plenty of compliance, while staying perfectly balanced with the front-end, so you get a smooth, balanced ride no matter how rough the road.

  • With 20mm of rough-road-taming travel, the Future Shock 1.5 not only delivers a smoother, more comfortable ride, but it also reduces fatigue and increases speed over harsh terrain. The new Smooth Boot, meanwhile, enhances the aesthetics to bring a clean transition from the head tube to the stem

Great handling bike!

Love this Roubaix. Been riding it for a year now and still incredibly happy. The ride smooths the bumps, but bike still handles beautifully, especially in tight curves, and you still get enough road feel to know what you're doing. This was my first experience with electronic shifters. I'll admit: I was dubious. I like the mechanical side of bikes. But this Ultegra Di2 system is a real step up: no cable stretch, etc., and the weight is identical with the mechanical Ultegra. I've ridden it for about 4,000 miles by now, and always look forward to getting back on it.

Nice bike

I upgraded from my 2007 Specialized Dolce Sport which I loved but it was too small. I also wanted disc brakes because I ride in the where flat roads are the exception, not the norm. I wasn't even looking for electronic shifters but inventory is extremely low so I took what I could get. I'm very happy with this bike. The Di2 shifters are nice to work with but I found shifters on my Dolce to be sharper actually. There seems to be just the most minuscule timing lag which wasn't an issue on the Dolce manual shifters which makes a difference when climbing or when needing to shift quickly. The future shock is an exceptional perk that makes a huge difference! This bike is a good climbing bike and there's just enough flex to respond well. The seat is kind of uncomfortable and wish I had kept my old one so I may replace but overall, it's a sweet bike and I'd recommend.

Smooth Operator

I started out with an Allez Elite and was pretty sure I didn't need all the bells and whistles but splurged for fun. My other bike was so stiff that getting onto the Roubaix felt really odd at first, like riding in a dream or being kind of disconnected. I was so use to feeling every little thing on the road and getting jostled around from it. It took a minute to get used to the Roubaix but looking back, I have been able to ride further and longer on my Roubaix than I ever managed on my Allez. Could be that I got stronger but I think there's more to it... The Roubaix is a beautiful bike. The Gloss UV Lilac is noticeably less purple than the UV Lilac of the Allez Elite. This Gloss UV Lilac doesn't scream purple. It's more subtle. I went with the 52 frame (I'm 165cm) and with some minor changes (a shorter stem, for example), it's been a comfy ride. By comfy, I mean road comfy. Don't be buying this bike if you want an upright cruiser with a bouncy seat. Cons: adjustment of the spring is a bit of a nuisance as you have to swap a different spring in and it's a bit of mechanical trick that I couldn't manage confidently on my own.

Crazy value

I could not belive the specs on this bike for the price tag. It has everything important. Crisp acceleration and stops on a dime thanks to the disc brakes. Di2!! What!! I didn't know i needed it until I had it. Seriously. No regrets on this purchase.

worst bike

I bought this bike weeks ago and I return it back to the dealer. the chain keeps falling down, I went back to the dealer he would not help to replace the components and he pushed to contact the warranty I did call and they gave me hard time. Anyway, I rid they bike one and eventually the chain cut two-piece and I almost got an accident!! they dealer back and forth with me, This bike so disappoint.

Surprisingly comfortable

I'm about 5'11"" and settled on a 56 Roubaix Comp Ultegra Di2. Perfect fit, and what a great ride. Way more forgiving over road blemishes than I expected. I find myself bracing for a jolt and the bike just absorbs it. Electronic shifting is super clean. I get a kick out of the micro-adjustments that the front derailleur makes when I make rear shifts. I've been mountain biking forever. Didn't think I'd really like road biking. Now, I'm wondering if my Epic will ever see the trail again. Super happy.

Should Have Done This Long Ago

Recently purchased a 2020 Roubaix Comp Di2 to upgrade from a roadie I'd been riding since 2011. Wasn't sure that I wanted the Di2 option, but with limited availability, I pulled the trigger. No regrets now. Very smooth and responsive shifting system. The Future Shock 1.5 ( med spring installed) performs as advertised. I live in the Lowcountry of South Carolina where the pavement lane edges have rumble strips and with my former bike, was a teeth jarring experience you want to avoid at all costs. The Roubaix makes interaction with these much more manageable and painless. I'm 64 years old and the geometry of the Roubaix suits me perfectly. I added Shimano's EW/WU111 and am truly impressed with the bike's wireless capabilities. I've no issues with the Roubaix's performance capabilities; I'm sure that the bike can put out more than I can give it. I love this bike.

No buyers remorse here!

I decided to upgrade from my Ruby Comp 51cm, in part, when my overseas 2020 travel plans went the way of the pandemic. I was also looking to upgrade to disc brakes as the caliper style braking was aggravating a wrist tendinitis issue, especially on steep downhills. The electronic shifting of the Di2 is an added benefit in that regard as well. But I think the biggest plus had been the overall fit of the bike. Based on the Roubaix sizing I went down to the 49cm and it feels like it was custom made for me. It is extremely comfortable, drives, shifts and brakes beautifully. I am so glad I made this move.

No regrets

I've been riding for the past 43 years on road bikes, but as I'm getting up in years, it's becoming a bit harder to ride for long hours. This bicycle solved the problem for me. I've been riding it for a little over a month, and I find the bike to be very comfortable. Not one regret.

Roubaix Comp DI2 Disc

This is my second Roubaix, my first being a 2008 model with 105 drive-train. I stayed with the Roubaix because of the roads being rough and uneven. I am ecstatic! I love this bike and being my first venture into a carbon frame, I could not be more pleased. I am now a fan of the DI2 and disc brakes. The braking capability is phenomenal! Great bike and at 6'3"" and 210 lbs. I can attest to the frame integrity and comfort. Looking forward to my 60th birthday for my first metric 100.

Smooth Ride!!

I had recently gotten back into cycling after a 10 year hiatus by purchasing a carbon 29er mtb. As soon as I paid it off, I started looking for a new road bike to replace my 2006 alloy bike. At 52 and 240, I wanted something that was smooth, comfortable, and would still be able to haul. Spent a couple of months looking and riding over half a dozen other bikes, but none of them felt much better than my old bike until I rode this one. With the future shock and the 32c tires, the ride is extremely smooth and comfortable. I've had the bike about 6 months now, over 300 miles, and I still get excited about riding it. The Di2 is a little overboard, but it's pretty sweet! No regrets, but looking back, I would have been just as happy with the regular Ultegra build and spending the difference on better wheels.
