Terms and Conditions
By entering and participating in the "Gift A Better Ride - Club Helmet Support" (the "Helmet Support Program"), you fully agree to the following terms and conditions of Specialized Europe GmbH, Werkstattgasse 10, CH-6330 Cham, Switzerland (“Organizer”).
- Eligibility
The participation in the Helmet Support Program is open to individuals who fulfil the following requirements (“Applicant(s)”):
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of the application.
Applicants must be legal residents of the same country as the club or foundation for which they are applying.
Applicants must have a relevant connection to the club or foundation, such as holding a position in the organization, being an active member, or having a family connection, for example, a parent applying for their child’s school.
The Applicants may only apply for a club or foundation that meets the following criteria:
Club or foundation has its seat / is legally incorporated in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
Clubs or foundation must have a relevant connection to the cycling sport or demonstrate the relevance of cycling resp. the need for helmets to its members and organization.
- Helmet Availability and Stock Limitations
The Helmet Support Program offers the following helmets: Align II, Tone, Mode, Ambush II, Camber, Tactic 4 and Mio in the sizes XS to XL, as specified in the application form.
Allocation and selection of helmets (model and size) is subject to availability and is at the sole discretion of the Organizer.
Color selection is not available. Helmets will be distributed in the colors available in stock at the time of shipment.
Due consideration will be given to the preferences of the Applicants as stated in the application.
Application and Qualification Process:
The Helmet Support Program begins on December 3rd, 2024, at 12.00am CET and ends on December 13th, 2024, at 11.59pm CET (“Program Period”). All applications must be received by the end of the Program Period the latest to be eligible. Subject to the availability of helmets, the Organizer may extend the Program Period.
The Applicants may enter the Helmet Support Program by submitting an application using the form provided on the Specialized.com Website during the Helmet Support Program Period www.specialized.com/free-helmet-support.
Only one application per Applicant is allowed, and each application must be completed in full for consideration. Multiple applications received from any Applicant after the first entry received from that Applicant will be void.
The Applicants must provide true, complete and accurate information in the application, in particular regarding the club or the foundation including, without limitation, its name, type, location, and address. The information will be used to assess and determine the eligibility of the Applicant and the club or foundation, and the Organizer may request additional documentation to verify the information. The Applicant also agrees that the Organizer may contact the Club or Foundation directly to obtain the necessary confirmation.
Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any Applicant and club or foundation from the Helmet Support Program if Applicants tamper with or attempt to tamper with the application and qualification procedure, provide false or misleading information or violate these terms and conditions.
It may take up to two (2) weeks from the end of the Program Period for the application to be reviewed and an approval decision to be made. Applicants will be notified of the decision by email to the email address provided in the application. The Organizer may reject the application in whole or in part if
a) the requirements for the Helmet Support Program are not met; or
b) the requested helmet preferences are no longer in stock.
In case of b) Organizer may, subject to the stock availability, offer the concerned Applicant a modified product selection (e.g. fewer helmets than requested may be provided). The Applicant must confirm the offer by the specified deadline, otherwise the offer will expire without replacement.
The approval of an application is given subject to the conditions set out below in section 4 (Use of Helmets). In the event of a violation of these conditions the Organizer withdraws its donation with immediate effect and may request the Club or Foundation to return all helmets at its expense. The Organizer has the right to charge for any helmet not returned upon first request. In addition, the Applicant shall be liable to the Organizer for any damage and loss incurred in connection with such violation.
- Delivery and Costs
Upon approval of the application resp. confirmation of the modified offer the helmets will be delivered within six (6) weeks to the address of the club or foundation provided in the application form. Any deviation from the delivery address must be agreed in writing (including e-mail) between the Applicant and the Organizer.
The Applicants will be notified by e-mail of the shipment to the club or the foundation. The Applicants must ensure that the club or the foundation is: a) properly informed of the shipment resp. the delivery, and b) is available and prepared to receive the delivery on the specified date.
Applicants, a club or foundation, or their members may not return, exchange, or refund helmets. There is no guarantee or warranty.
All shipping costs in connection with the initial delivery to the provided address of the club or foundation shall be at the expense of the Organizer. Any additional shipping costs incurred for reasons not attributable to the Organizer (e.g. delivery being undeliverable or rejected) may be imposed to the Applicants.
Unless explicitly provided otherwise herein, each Party shall bear all taxes, costs and expenses incurred by it in connection with the Helmet Support Program (donation), including the application as well as the delivery of the helmets.
- Use of Helmets
The helmets are donated to specific members of the club or foundation for which an Applicant applied for and are for their personal use only. Any sale or other commercial use of the helmets is strictly prohibited.
The helmets may only be used for their intended purpose and in accordance with the user and safety manuals.
- Release and Limitations of Liability.
Each Applicant releases and holds harmless and shall ensure that the club or foundation releases and holds harmless the Organizer and its subsidiaries, parent and affiliate companies, suppliers as well as its employees, directors and representatives, from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Helmet Support Program or receipt or use or misuse of any helmet.
Any liability of the Organizer and its affiliated companies is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
- Personal Information / Data Privacy
By submitting the application, Applicants consent to the collection of their personal data, including full name, date of birth, position, email address, phone number, and home address. This information will be used solely for processing the application and managing communication regarding the Helmet Support Program.

- Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
The Helmet Support Program including this terms and conditions shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the substantive laws of Switzerland. The application of the rules of conflict of law or international treaties is excluded.
Venue for any dispute arising under or in connection with the Helmet Support Program including this terms and conditions shall be the courts of Zug, Switzerland.
