Riders have been asking for a tire that can enhance speed, while giving them plenty of confidence while cornering. And by lowering the center tread for high speed, yet keeping much taller side knob edges for secure braking and cornering, our Slaughter DH tire is all but guaranteed to get you to the bottom first. Plus, with butyl inserts at the tire bead, we even have you covered against pinch flats when the trail gets particularly rowdy. We've found it proper for rear usage, but it can be ridden as a front too.

  • Bead: Wire

  • Compound: Base 70a / Top 42a

  • Pinch Protection: Butyl Inserts at bead

Rode it for one season

Had this installed on my DH bike for one season of riding. I feel pretty confident on dry and dampen conditions. Performed in wet well too. I rebuild my older DH bike with new parts which made the bike pretty racy as it was meant to be. I am not sure if this is all those upgrades or this tire, but I am definitely much faster and not due to my skill lol but these parts. The only thing that didn't work so well out - side knobs started developing cracks. They didn't rip off, but I send photos to Spesh and they hooked me up with brand new tire... I haven't decided if I am going to take old one off yet as there is Cushcore and it's pain in the butt to deal with. But with this CS experience I will be buying more Spesh tires for sure
