Sirrus X 2.0

So biggest issue is the brakes get contaminated (is what the bike shop is telling us) and squeal so badly that everybody is staring in horror every time you stop at an intersection. It is so embarrassing! My husband took his back to the shop, got them fixed and 5-6 months of riding later, they're starting to squeal again. Mine started squealing after about 3 months of riding, I put up with it not realizing the shop would fix them for free. Also, the bikes have a plastic chain guard which breaks very easily, my husbands after about 6 months of riding, me about 7 months... Once this happens, if you go over a bump, your chain falls off. To me, a $900 bike should not have a plastic part that breaks this easily. I like that the tires are wider than the crosstrail so I can handle gravel etc. better and I like that I don't have to worry about crossing the chain since there's no front derailleur. I sorely miss my crosstrail, wish I never bought this but my crosstrail was 14 years old...

After 14 years with Specialized crosstrails, spouse and I decided to try these. Pros:compared to our older crosstrails, these ones are lighter but have larger tires so we can take gravelly turns easier, also like not having to worry about crossing the chain.Cons: Almost immediately, my husbands brakes squealed very loudly (even though he "broke them in" as directed). The bike shop replaced them and now they squeak a little but are better. Mine only started squeaking about 8 months in (or the 2nd season of Spring) so it was too late to take them back. It's actually embarrassing, pulling up behind cars, even worse pedestrians with no shield to my torturously loud squealing brakes. I've had people tell me to grease them. So disappointed. That's the main complaint. The other is that the chain guard piece fell off both our bikes, one after 9 months, other after 1 year. Not happy, wish I could go back to my old bike but alas, all my gear has been moved to the new bike :(

Great bike for commuting or getting around the city. Bought it second hand with low km and been riding it around Montreal for the last year. Flipped the stem for a little more aggressive riding position but otherwise kept it stock. 42mm Pathfinder tires are perfect for the potholes and light gravel around the city. No issues with the MicroShift drivetrain but the Promax brakes aren't the best. Even after replacing the pads, cleaning the calipers, disks, rotors, pistons and resurfacing the rotors I still get a lot of squealing and brake fade on longer descents. I fit a Schwalbe Marathon (40mm) up front and Michellin Stargrip (40mm) out back with an SKS beavertail fender set for the winters and had no real issues. Not a lot of space for fenders and couldn't find the plug n play ones in my size so had the zip-tie the beavertails to make them fit. Other than the tight fender spacing and brakes the bike is a steal of a deal for a city bike under $1000.

Slipping gears day 1, brakes were squeaky and loud as day 1, had to replace the pads myself, it was embarrassing riding it, bottom bracket broke within 2 months, worst bike I've ever owned

Considero que es necesario comencemos a prestarle más atención a bicicletas como estas y dejar de pensar que todos queremos hacer ruta o irnos al cerro. Mucha gente ni siquiera se da cuenta que necesita una bicicleta esta, o sea como un medio de transporte cómodo, práctico y pagable. Sí es posible andar en la ciudad con una de montaña o de ruta, pero sus geometrías, sus componentes y su capacidad de accesorización nunca serán tan buenos como los de una híbrida. En la 2.0 no me gustaron sus pedales, ni sus puños, así que se los cambié casi de inmediato. También me hubiese gustado un clutch en el desviador, pero entiendo que había que pagar la 3.0 o la 4.0 para tener mejores partes. Fuera de eso, todo me parece perfecto.

Après seulement quelques essais, ce vélo Specialized Sirrus X 2.0 est convaincant. Il est léger, agréable à utiliser. Il s'agit du 2ème vélo de marque Specialized que j'achète en 15 ans.

Compré este modelo cómo una bici de diario pero que a futuro con algunos cambios pueda ser de gravel. Me ha sorprendido lo responsiva que es, rápida y con muy buen manejo. Me encanta

Fast and easy for ride around city.

I live in a very busy city and we have many mobility issues because our roads are designed 50 years ago, now the city council is running many roads projects and the average time in a car per day is between 2 and 4 hours, I found Sirrus bike like a suitable solution because their weight, commuter options like 9 gears, good tires, and effective hydraulic brakes. Don’t expect have good performance with this bike in the mountains or forest, it was designed for cities and between 10 or 20 km per route

La bici muy buena, el uso que le doy es 30 % urbano para ir al trabajo y 70% pistas de gravel. Es rendidora, robusta para mí peso (65 kg), estable y los componentes en general funcionan muy bien, excepto los frenos, los pistones hay que limpiarlos y lubricarlos cada semana, hacen mucho ruido y a veces los pistones no salen o devuelven bien. En la tienda donde la retiré no dieron con la puesta a punto de los frenos (y además la atención muy deficiente, excepto por el mecánico que una vez me atendió). En general, para el precio, la bici bastante bien, además de muy bonita y diseño muy moderno. En lo que pueda voy a sustituir los frenos por unos de mejor calidad.

Haven't owned a Specialized bike for 15 years but this bike was outstanding. It was delivered to store and assembled. The quality is superb even for the entry level bike, and the technicians helped set it up for me quickly and easily. Can't fault this buying experience.

This is the first bike I've bought or cycled in many years. I'm 100% happy with it. It's perfect for commuting to work and back. Great for getting around the city.

Both front and back brakes are misaligned and rub. Making noise while not in use and do not give confidence during downhill stopping.

Great bicycle for a commute and training

Experimentei e fiquei surpreendido. Excelente relação qualidade / preço. Parece que estamos a pedalar uma bicicleta de valor muito mais alto. Gostei principalmente da facilidade nas subidas, quando se utiliza uma mudança mais baixa.

O quadro é confortável com soldaduras de grande qualidade para o preço, o selim com 155 m de largura permite um bom assento, a posição é ideal para trajetos urbanos e em trilhos de terra batida, a travagem é surpreendente com muita potência e as mudanças estão ao nível de um Shimano Alivio em termos de precisão e de salientar a geometria de btt adaptada a rodas de 28 polegadas. Relação preço qualidade em destaque para mim e a versatilidade desta bicicleta urbana polivalente com diversos pontos de fixação para um descanso em posição central previsto e outros alforges.

Hele mooie fiets. De dikke banden geven goede grip. Jammer dat hij niet uitgeleverd kon worden via de fietswinkel. Wel nog voor particulieren te leveren maar de service van de fietswinkel vervalt daardoor.

Leuke fiets aan een scherpe prijs. Kleur is ook prachtig.

Increíble bicicleta, el color llama mucho la atención, luce muy lindo. Empecé a ir al trabajo con ella, no soy experta en bicicletas, y la amé, fácil conducción las velocidades son adecuadas para andar en distintos tipos de inclinación. Súper recomendable

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist derzeit unschlagbar. Ein Gravelbike mit Flatbar! Sportlich moderate Sitzposition, mit effizienter , butterweicher 8-Gangschaltung mit großer Bandbreite. Die breiten, aber schnellen Reifen geben einem das Gefühl einfach überall fahren zu können. Keine Kettenabwürfe bisher festgestellt, trotz fehlendem Kettenspanner. Tolles Fahrgefühl für (Wieder)-Einsteiger. Auch der Sattel und die Griffe sind ziemlich bequem.

Great Bike

Es una Bicicleta rápida, resistente, me gusta que ando en carreteras de grava con buen rendimiento, pero todo eso no sirve de nada porque la cadena se sale a cada rato, pasando hoyos, pasando topes, cuando cambio de piñon, etc, compré un plato de gravel para sustituir el que trae con la esperanza de que ya no ocurriera pero no funcionó. Uso esta bicicleta como medio de transporte y es frustrante que frecuentemente se salga la cadena y tener que pararme a recolocarla, y si estoy en rodadas, siempre llego después que todos porque frecuentemente me tengo que detener por este problema. Ahora me toca hacer otro gasto comprando un desviador a ver si se soluciona porque me gusta mucho esta bici y no quisiera venderla.
