Kids move fast, and grow faster. At times, it can seem like there’s a small window for the perfect bike fit. The right bike for a young rider is a delicate balance between too small, too big, and a short-lived just right. If we’re going to inspire the next generation of riders, we need to keep kids comfortably riding longer.

The Jett is designed so that you’ll never fear the growth spurts. We did our homework to understand how kids grow—spoiler alert, kids’ arms and legs grow more rapidly than their torso. We took to the books and designed a bike with child-specific touch points that withstand the development of young riders. The Jett is uniquely adjustable, perfectly proportional, and child-liftable—you’ll always be set to Jett.

The Jett Single Speed features an adjustable handlebar that allows kids to fine tune reach as their arms grow. The narrower saddle and grips were informed by a Retül study on kids to be the appropriately size—with handbrakes on both the 16” and 20”. And what’s more, we designed the frame and reviewed every component to make the Jett one of the lightest bikes on the market. You’re going to have to beg them to get off this bike.

  • We designed the Jett Single Speed to be uniquely adjustable with longer seatposts and adjustable handlebars so kids can dial-in the perfect riding position as they grow.

  • Every detail of the Jett Single Speed—including the 130mm Bridge saddle, narrower-diameter grips, and short-reach, tool-less adjustable brake levers—was informed by Retül data from a kids’ research group to be perfectly proportional for young riders.

  • A lightweight bike is simply more fun and the Jett Single Speed’s all-new A1 aluminum frame, alloy fork, Pathfinder tires, and single-speed drivetrain make it one of the lightest kids’ bikes on the market.

Excellent choice for new riders

My 4-year-old daughter is 43 inches tall with an 18.5-inch inseam. Despite being at the lower end of the size range, she was able to ride the bike after I taught her a few techniques, including how to start pedaling from the side and how to mount the bike from a straddle position. For parents of shorter children, I recommend considering the 16-inch model unless your child is particularly determined and persistent. One of the key reasons I upgraded her from a pedal brake bike was the Freewheel and lever brake system on the Jett 20. She loves the bike, particularly the lever brakes, and has remarked on how much easier it is to ride uphill and maneuver in tight circles compared to her old bike. The single-speed design provides ample speed, so if you're considering the three-speed option, I would suggest that the single-speed is more than sufficient for young riders. The quality of this bike is exceptional and stands out among children’s bikes in its class.

Great quality bike for a 5yo

Love this bike for my daughter. She just moved up from a riprock 16 and aside from getting used to the hand brake, the standard seat and handlebar positions made for a really comfortable first ride. She loved the Oasis color, which I was hesitant about as it doesn't look "girly" online (she wanted pink). The Oasis is actually a really really nice color and she ended up loving it. I love the idea of her riding a solid, quality bike that she can keep using for the next couple of years.

Great kid bike

Great kids bike. Highly adjustable. Have a bigger 7 yr old and was worried the bike would be small but fits him well. Should get a few years before we have to upgrade to a larger size.

Great bike for 5-yr old

My 5-yr old son (45" tall) loves this bike. It rides really well, is lightweight, and the brakes are very responsive. Plus it comes in firetruck red. What else would you want in a bike?

Does not fit 40” rider

Sizing guide says it fits 40” rider. My little boy is right at 40” in his shoes. He rides a 12” bike perfectly but it’s small on him and wanted to get his something more advanced. This 20” Jett seemed liked the best bike he could get that fits. But it does not fit. Not even close. Calls to customer service were of no help. I ended up ordering a 16” as the 20” will not fit him for quite some time. The bike quality seems fine but the sizing guide is flat wrong.
