I was experiencing some hand numbness and wanted to bring my bars back and up a little to relieve some of the pressure on my hands. I accompanied these bars with a 90mmx12 degree stem and have noticed a difference.

Very comfortable!

Changed from 44mm bars to these 40 top /44 bottom bars. Was concerned they might be too narrow and make the bike twitchy. Actually no effect on handling but they are much more comfortable on 3 hour plus rides and my shoulders are more relaxed.

Great bars

Perfect fit...I put this on my Giant Contend AR 3. I love the rise and the flare is just enough.

Love the hover bar on my road bike, but my gravel bike came with a weird bar that had way too much flare. The hover bar with 12 degree flare hits the sweet spot, and I can see my bar end mirror, easy to ride in the hooks! A+++

This is the only set of handlebars specialized sells that does not have markings for lining up your shifters. Everything else about them is great.

The rise, reach, drop and flare on this bar are perfect. However, beyond the clamp area, the bar diameter gets smaller. The feels ""dainty"" and you have to close your hands around it more to grip it. I suppose you could double-wrap the bar for more thickness. Also, shaping the tops to be flatter would help with ergonomics.
This is a great bar! The flare is perfect to give your hands a perfect feel when in the drops and the terrain gets rough. The rise makes buying a higher degree stem a thing of the past or if you are like me and have a bad back, the higher postion is really nice.
The rise is great for gravel. Came stock on my Turbo Creo SL Evo Comp. The GRX shifters are angled because of the flare which is fine when riding on the hoods but not fine on the drops or when climbing out of the saddle. And the handlebar between stem and the turn is extremely thin causing hand discomfort. Swapped for the Hover road alloy 44cm size and will not go back.
I bought these handlebars for my gravel bike and they are fantastic. The flares are great on loose downhills and the rise takes a lot of pressure off of shoulders and wrists. I would definitely recommend these bars for road or gravel bikes.
I bought these to help deal with shoulder damage. The flare helped. I bought the 44cm. Flare at the ends is 49cm (center). I suggest Specialized puts the flare measurements in the description. No regrets with this purchase.
If the stack on your bike is too low and you can't get a higher angle stem (my Redshift Shockstem is only 6 deg), this is your ticket to comfort heaven. The 15mm rise plus the low 103mm drop means that I can stay on the drops for longer and more comfortably over long flat stretches of hardpack.
I have been riding with 46cm Easton handlebars the last couple of years. I ordered a pair of these as upgrades/replacements, also in 46cm. I was surprised to find that these are very wide. My easton bars were 44cm at the hoods and 46cm at the drops. These bars are 46/47cm at the hoods and significantly wider than that at the drops. I have exchanged the 46cm bars for a pair of 44cm bars with the hope that they are more comparable in width to what I have been riding.
Very comfortable and extra light!
Ergonomics and fitting is awesome. So comfortable with long rides!
I love these bars. Have a pair of the non-flared on my road bike and the flares on my cyclocross bike. Just be aware that the drops are much wider than the hoods. On my 46cm flared bars the position on the drops is 50cm, so the stated width is measured at the hoods. Great set of bars though!
