The Chisel is the perfect bike for anyone looking to take the plunge into XC racing. It embodies all of the qualities you'd expect from an XC race bike, like light overall weight, incredible stiffness, and a race-oriented geometry—all with one-by gearing, too.

PRO-LEVEL PERFORMANCE MADE AFFORDABLE

We asked ourselves, “How do we bring pro-level performance down to a price more riders can afford?” D'Aluisio Smartweld Technology was the answer. Smartweld allows us to create the most consistent, high-strength welds possible while taking full advantage of compliant, ultralight alloy tubes.

XC-FAST AND TRAIL-BIKE CAPABLE

Cross-country courses have grown more technical, so why we gave the Chisel a dose of trail bike DNA. The Chisel’s longer top tube, shortened head tube, and slightly slack front end increase its downhill stability without sacrificing its climbing ability.

• Light, stiff, and durable, the premium M5 alloy frame is the perfect racing platform.

• RockShox Judy Silver 29 fork, complete with lockout and adjustable rebound damping.

• SRAM’s SX Eagle 1X drivetrain gives you the gearing you need to tackle any climb.

deixou a desejar

problemas no amortecedor em uma bicicleta comprada a mais ou menos 2 meses. Vazamento de óleo e mal funcionamento me deixaram sem pedalar. Agora aguardando a resposta da garantia para ver o que vai ser feito.

Love It

Bought the expert to fill the gap between my cross bike and my Stumpy FSR. This bike is amazingly fast on and off the trail. Bike is light and nimble, but have realistic expectations for what trails this bike is good on. You're not going to crush downhills and rock gardens, but you will crush smooth singletrack or rooty trails, it is an XC bike after all. Rock Shox Reba is a perfect match for this bike, the NX drivetrain is the biggest disappointment, just barely acceptable. I will likely upgrade that next year. Fast Track tires are good on dry hard pack and granite but useless is gravel, or soft anything. Overall, I would highly recommend this bike to anyone looking for an XC bike, just make sure you know your local trails and don't expect it to act like a trail bike.

Fantastic

The Chisel...it looks stunning and the ride lives up to the image it creates. I've taken mine on some fast trails as well as steeper, more technical routes and it performs well on everything. I love the lively, responsive feel, with the bike wanting to push and inspiring confidence. The spec is great, 12 speed Eagle has a sprocket for everything. Living in the UK, I'm going to have to swap the tyres for something that will work in mud and I need to add a dropper post but they're personal choices. Am I gushing about the bike like I swallowed a PR guide? Er.... a bit. But I love this bike.

I was expecting more from this bike.

I was really excited to give the Chisel a try since it's marketed as a entry level XC Race bike. Boy was I disappointed. First, the medium is 27lbs out of the box. The bike feels very top heavy and unresponsive on the trail. I expected it to roll over normal single track trail with ease but instead it tries to stuff the front end and send you over the bars. On the downhill the bike ghost shifts and chain slaps the frame. One the uphills it's head to keep the front end on the ground.
