Als we ons richten op wat onze rijders het meest willen, is het logisch dat onze fietsen jaar na jaar geliefd zijn.
Begrijp ons niet verkeerd, we zijn helemaal voor racen. Grand Tour toppers, klassieke monumenten - ze zitten in ons DNA. Maar soms is gewoon rijden om te rijden, rijden voor de liefde voor het rijden, precies wat we nodig hebben. En dit is waar de Aethos voor leeft. Zeker, hij heeft niets opgegeven aan prestaties, en is toevallig het lichtste frame dat er is, maar zonder enig compromis aan stijl. De Satin Carbon/Jet Fuel kleurstelling is de lichtste afwerking die we aanbieden op een S-Works Aethos frameset. Het is ook het perfecte canvas als je hunkert naar custom paint. Dit is onze RTP-Ready To Paint-kleurstelling, zodat je je de bouw, de kleuren en het ontwerp van je dromen kunt voorstellen en vervolgens met een custom painter kunt samenwerken om het te realiseren.
The Aethos frame has been designed with the perfect combination of ultimate ride feel, light weight, and style—from accelerating up steep pitches and descending technical descents, to all-day saddle comfort on even the longest coffee rides, the Aethos hits the mark. But how, you ask? By reinventing the traditional road shape found on bikes of the past, we’ve subtly altered these shapes to deliver massive gains in stiffness and balance, all without affecting weight or durability. Pair that with an entirely new layup and process that we’ve perfected over multiple decades and you have the lightest frame out there (585 grams, S-Works, size 56cm). The Aethos is more than just a new bike, it’s the first of a new breed.
A featherweight frame is useless without confidence-inspiring ride characteristics, which is why we’ve developed the Aethos to have the perfect balance of front and rear stiffness combined with exceptional ride quality. By studying the flexing and breathing of carbon fiber, we were able to discover groundbreaking findings about how forces flow through frames. Just a few pedal strokes and you’ll realize this sublime ride sets a new standard.
The Satin Carbon/Jet Fuel colorway is ready to ride as is but features logos that are decals over a clear coat, so they can be easily removed if you choose to work with a custom painter. The frameset includes a second set of decals to be applied after painting. Keep in mind that when you modify the paint and/or graphics on your Aethos, the limited warranty provided by Specialized will no longer cover your paint and graphics. Any issues related to such modifications should be worked out between you and your custom painter.

The limited warranty provided by Specialized will no longer apply to your paint and graphics upon custom painting. Paint and graphics warranty with Specialized is voided upon custom painting.
