2021 Epic EVO Expert

Arrivo da una Epic Comp 2014 e devo dire che questa Epic Evo e' un'altra storia. Geometria tutta diversa. Una bici praticamente completa e la mancanza del Brain non si sente proprio. E' una bici che consiglio e la considero definitiva (almeno per me)! Unica pecca i freni. I dischi da cambiare

Mine is a 2018 model which is very similar except it only has 100mm of travel front and back. It now has 3,340 miles on it according to Garmin Connect. It used to get a lot of trail work until I hurt my shoulder. It still gets some trail work on the novice trails but is mostly used on a mix of sand trails, mixed trails and pavement. The only problem I've had with the bike is when the derailleur hanger got caught on a metal piece on a trail. I've replaced the tires once and it gets an annual check up. I'm not a lightweight but the frame has not had any problems and I check regularly. Okay I have a thing for stairs. Given how it has been used, and sometimes abused, this has been one of my great all time bikes. And I've had a lot of bikes. Three thumbs up!

Have about 500 miles on it now with about a couple dozen rides, and it still impresses me every time i ride it, super fast, great handling, loves to climb, and bombs the down, best biking investment i've ever made. Happy i purchased it.

Devo essere sincero,anni f? ho avuto 2 bici specialized ,mai trovato a mio agio si? con la strada (tarmac) che con la mtb (stumpjumper fsr),vendute dopo pochissimo!!!.....ebbene con la epic evo ragazzi qui siamo di fronte ad una bici perfetta!leggera,maneggevole e in salita si difende benissimo!però il suo terreno è la discesa!non voglio fare lo' sborone,ma ho segnato gi? diversi kom,cosa che prima con la spark non riuscivo!l'unica pecca per me sono i freni sram che non sono all'altezza,infatti li sostituirò con degli shimano xt......voto 10 promossa!!!e di brutto!!!!! ps a breve farò tuning alle sospensioni......

Sono rimasto colpito dalla guidabilit?, giocosit? e versatilit? d'impiego di questa Epic Evo. Provengo da una Epic Sworks 2018 che non mi ha dato mai problemi col brain ma per essere guidata al meglio bisognava essere sempre all'attacco, ovviamente é un top di gamma da gara che non ammette indecisioni o errori di traiettoria. Questa Epic Evo permette tanto di più anche errori di traiettoria e l'angolo sterzo aperto con il telescopico e le sospensioni morbide copiano e perdonano tutto regalando emozioni ad ogni discesa o salto. La migliore Epic di sempre per me!

I sold my 2019 stumpy for something more pedal friendly with capability of descending. To be completely honest, I haven't had a chance since its winter to really test everything. I wanted to comment because of the handlebars. There is no way you can ensure the gear lever does not hit the top tube with the stock handlebars. I had to buy a riser bar, nothing too crazy, to make sure it clears in the case of a crash. I think this is a major oversight. Someone reviewed their large having this issue as well (mine is XL). Just beware. Other than that, I love everything else. I also love that I can almost completely lock out the suspension so it picks up speed in a hurry. Once this weather breaks, Ill hit the trails and see how it does.

arrivo da 20 anni di scalpel, ma questo è un'altro mondo; molto molto divertente, si guida più rilassati e quindi più riposati. In salita copia perfettamente il terreno, senza sentire la necessit? di bloccarla, in discesa poi è un vero missile.

My 2021 Epic Evo Expert is super fun. I rode an Ibis Ripley for 5 years and I can honestly say, that this Epic Evo is in many ways, a way funner bike. Yeah, I know funner is not a word, but this bike shouldn't ride as well as is does either, so it's fitting. The bike rides better than the geometry suggests. I half expected a harsh, semi-twitchy ride that climbed okay and descended a little better than a hard tail. Instead, it's a natural climber and a semi-rowdy but stable descender that soaks up all but chunkiest rocks and large drops. At high speed, the bike is predictable and confident. It goes where you point it when cornering and the carbon wheels feel tiff but compliant. The lack of overall weight lends to snappy responses and long climbs are less painful. My only gripe is that the top tube and handlebar are at approximately the same height, so if you tip or crash, and the bars twist, the pointy part of the rear shifter slams directly against the top tube. The stem can't be raised anymore and changing the angle of the shifter doesn't help, so I don't see a way to fix it, other than applying protective tape/rubber on the top tube, which I've done. Now, I don't know if this applies to all frame sizes, so you might check if it's a real concern. Personally, this would not stop me from buying this bike, because of how great it feels. For reference, I'm 5'10"", 180lbs and the Large feels perfect.

I used to have an 2019 epic evo comp, upgraded to this model. It is a feather in comparison. Lots of fun downhill though it is twitchier than a Stumpjumper which is fully expected. From a certain point of view, that's a plus. This bike is very capable and yet makes any trail interesting. I love being able to really fully lock suspensions which makes this bike even better of a ascender. Every single newton I produce goes into the wheels.

This bike is an amazing climber and descender, the components work great and the suspension is perfect. i cant find a single thing wrong with the bike

I've ridden many variations of Epics of the years, love this one way more than others. Better feeling downhill, still blitzes up and it's light and nimble. The geometry is right on as is the spec for multiple styles of trails. I always swap for a carbon low rise bar and different stem to absorb a bit more vibration and a slightly more poppy ride. Great fun!

I've been a StumpJumper Rider for years, I bought the Epic in February and I am Happy I did. It renewed my wanting to ""Get Out and Ride"" attitude! Why Wait ? Probably because it is Sold Out !
