      Electric Mountain Bikes

What’s the difference between an E-mountain bike vs a non-electric bike?
Our Turbo electric mountain bikes set the standard for the best ride quality, range, natural power amplification, and integration. All of our Turbo e-MTBs senses the power the rider applies to the pedals and amplifies their effort with support from the electric motor, allowing effortless climbing, the power to do long rides in the time it takes to do a short ride on a non-electric bike, and simply doing rides that are not possible on a mountain. bike without electric support.

How far will a Turbo electric mountain bike go?
The battery range on Turbo electric mountain bike, and other full suspension electric mountain bikes, is dependent on rider weight, power setting, elevation, assist levels, and other variables. To give you a sense of actual range with a specific example, repeatable field testing on our Levo 4 resulted in our stated maximum range of up to 5.33 hours of ride time. That was with an 80Kg rider, the 840 Wh downtube battery and the 280 Wh Range Extender, in Eco mode, on a test lap that includes significant elevation gain.

How fast can my Turbo electric mountain bike go?
Depending on where you live, there are different rules that determine the top speed of an electric bike. For example, in the USA, “Class 1” e-bikes, like the Levo 4 can legally assist up to 20 mph. With that level of support, Levo 4 opens up the options to ride to the trails easily, and still get your fill of trail time.

What kind of riding are Turbo electric mountain bikes best for?
We have several families of Turbo electric mountain bikes, ensuring there’s a model perfectly suited to make your dream rider a reality. The Turbo Levo 4 is the renowned benchmark full suspension electric mountain bike for trail riding. Steep climbs, exploratory backcountry rides, and shuttle-less laps are all in its wheelhouse. The plush and supportive suspension let it tackle roots, rock gardens, and drops, while our SuperNatural power delivery offers the most natural pedal feeling to propel you up loose, wet, or technical climbs. The Levo SL is also an electric full suspension trail bike, but it uses our SL system, which makes it much more nimble and lighter due to the smaller motor and battery. Want a more aggressive electric mountain bike, try the Kenevo or Kenevo SL. Longer suspension travel and more relaxed geometry make these models ideal for big mountain enduro riding.

Can I ride my Turbo full suspension electric mountain bike on my local trails?
Depending on where you live, there are different rules that determine where you are allowed to ride an electric mountain bike, so check with the entity that manages the trails where you are planning to ride for specific information. In the USA, Turbo full suspension electric mountain bike complies with “Class 1” category, so it can be legally be ridden on all trails that permit Class 1 e-bikes. A quick online search on your local trail system or stopping by the trailhead to view signage in person are both ways to see what bikes the trail system allows. As e-MTB’s are becoming more popular, more and more trail systems are opening up to all riders—growing your network of available trails.
