The Tahoe Mountain Bike shoes were designed to deliver rugged and dependable off-road performance, especially if your rides see a good deal of hiking. To do so, they feature our SlipNot™ rubber outsole for added grip over roots and wet terrain. And to keep the shoes stiff enough for riding and flexible enough for walking, they also have our Lollipop™ inner plate that sits in a bed of comfy EVA padding. The fit is relaxed for everyday use, and the Body Geometry insoles provide ergonomically designed comfort and efficiency.

  • SlipNot™ rubber compound developed in our tire lab optimizes shoe and pedal connection.

  • Stiff Lollipop™ inner plate delivers high performance pedaling, and it sits in a bed of EVA foam to soften landings and maintain off-the-bike traction.

  • Relaxed Fit for a balance of pedal feel and walking comfort.

  • Lacelock™ elastic keeps laces out of the chainrings.

  • Toe and heel overlays provide added abrasion resistance.

  • Approximate weight: 350g (1/2 pair, Size 42)

Bring back the fantastic originals

I have been using the original style for 20 years. 3 pairs with thousands of miles on them. Comfortable, almost indestructible. Please, please, please bring back the originals. These new ones are junk.

If I would buy it again, but it would improve some details.

It is very comfortable, but it would include some covers for the pedal adapter.

Superior Old Shoes

I love my 10 year old Tahoe biking shoes. I brag about them all the time. I am close to needing a new pair. I am very disappointed to hear that the quality is not there. Please consider going back to you excellent quality. I guess I will just use my hiking shoes for now and hope.

My old ones are better

I have 3 pairs of older models. Why is it that you have to change them for the worse every year? Let me also comment that the price goes up and the quality, durability and attractiveness goes down. It SUCKS! Consequently, I haven't purchased Specialized MTB shoes for 3 years now. The last ones I got were uses, yes USED. Change them back and I'll buy 3 pairs, mine are shot.

As per others.. Not as good as the old ones

I have been wearing the Specialized Tahoe since 2005? Maybe earlier I can't remember. I've done roughly 12k miles in 3 x pairs of the previous version of Tahoe, almost completely indestructible, they've been all over the world in all conditions with me and remained reliable and comfortable from the point you put them on, there's the odd issue with each pair but I can still use them (ripped the tongue off one by accident, knocked a chunk off the sole of another etc) I purchased the new version last year... They have lasted 8 months... the sole has peeled away from the upper... I also think the new lace retention system is below-par, my laces seem to flop about all the time. I won't buy the other shoes in the MTB range as nothing has the sole that the Tahoe has/had, the tahoe sport used to have a vibram sole which was superb. If you're hike biking or walking back home with a mechanical, like a lot of us MTBers need to do on a regular basis you need something that's going to work like the old Tahoe did... Unfortunately I think I'll have to find a better set of shoes now, i'm truly gutted they stopped making the old version.

No comparison to previous models

This is my fourth pair of Tahoe. This new model does not compare to any of the previous models, it is just the name. Shoe is definitely more narrow, the filling for the arch is too far back, front much higher... I cannot say this is a bad shoe, but any happy previous model owner might very easy be disappointed. At least, I am. Why change something good?

Great for off-road touring and gravel biking.

I use this shoe for bikepacking and long distance touring. I love the walk-ability of the sole for those coffee shop breaks and even after a long day in the saddle, I never feel the need to get them off my feet around the campsite. The sole is plenty stiff enough to push up the long climbs and the fit around the toebox allows you to keep your toes relaxed and cool.

""I like your old ones better than than your new ones.""

I do quite a bit of riding on trails in remote and interesting bush areas of the South Coast of Western Australia. Because I have an interest in wildflowers and native animals, it's not uncommon for me to walk into the fringing bush along a trail to get a closer look at... what was that?? I had worn my old Tahoes out (to the point where, when giving a big heave to ride up a particularly steep bit of rocky ground, I broke the footbed - right through where the cleats are screwed in. But that's okay they were years old, had been down (and up) the Munda Biddi Trail, seen some great cycle touring on gravel roads all around WA, and I was a 100kg monster who still enjoys a challenge when faced with very steep and tricky climbing, clipped in and bum on saddle... But the new Tahoes should not carry the same name as the old model. They are constructed differently and are much too narrow for my broad feet. Not happy, but what else do Specialized offer for a MTB biker like me? Answer: Nuffin.

Excelente!

Uma sapatilha super confortável e bonita. E além disso, quando precisamos empurrar a bike sua aderência é infinitamente melhor do que o modelo ""chuteira"". Estou impressionado.
