Let's get something clear, the Stumpjumper EVO Alloy isn't a "normal" trail bike. It's built to get gnarly, plain and simple. Featuring the same all-new design as its carbon brethren—including an adjustable head tube angle, 150mm of performance tuned travel, the adaptability of S-Sizing, and SWAT™ Door integration—in a lightweight yet tough M5 Alloy chassis, you're going to be able to bomb down trails that you thought you couldn't touch without a full-blown DH rig.

29” rear wheel shock link is included: 27.5” rear wheel link is available separately.

  • All the travel in the world is useless without the proper shock tuning and kinematics. For the new Stumpjumper EVO design, we prioritized kinematic performance. Applying lessons learned while developing the Enduro, then following that with more than 1,000 hours of field and suspension lab development, we’ve not only improved the pedaling performance of the Stumpjumper, but we’ve made it more capable, agile, and lively. We increased anti-squat, so the suspension better resists pedal bob, and we further improved bump performance on square-edge hits. Bottom line? This thing shreds trails, not legs.

  • The S-Sizing geometry of the new Stumpjumper EVO is our most progressive yet. Long, low, slack, short offset fork, steeper seat tube angle – these are requirements for modern progressive riding. But not everyone jibs the same way, which is why the geo on the new Stumpjumper EVO is fully adjustable with six different settings. You can adjust the BB height by 10mm, you can adjust your head angle by two-degrees, and you can make these adjustments independently of each other. Finally, if you want to go full-party mullet-mode, the EVO lets you run a 27.5-inch rear wheel mated with a 29-inch front.

  • Rider-First Engineered™ frames use a size-specific approach to ride characteristics that ensures benchmark handling and flawless performance, regardless of frame or rider size. Whether you’re a jump-happy grom riding an S1, or a DH-fiend giant in need of the lengthy S6, you’ll experience the same ride traits – rail-sharp cornering and balanced front and rear stiffness – at the lightest-possible weight.

  • We introduced the SWAT™ door on the Stumpjumper in 2016, adding room IN your frame for those “oh sh**t” necessities like pumps and spare tubes, and immediately rendering jersey pockets redundant.

Great bike but creaky AF

Bike rides and feels amazing after I got the cascade link. What an improvement! Headset cups creak like crazy after a few rides. You can clean, grease, whatever.....still creaks after a few rides.

Gnar Ready

I was in the market for a daily trail machine that could survive the rugged New England conditions (roots of death and endless rock gardens) but at the same time be fun on machine-built trails and bike parks. Carbon is not the best choice here. My problem was finding an alloy bike with modern and fun geometry, and the Stevo Alloy was the answer. Another problem that Specialized helped me solve was finding a frameset. Most other companies are still in post-COVID mode and only sell complete bikes, which isn't an option for me because I always build my bikes. Pros: alloy, fun, fast downhill, good uphil, SWAT and 22oz bladder is an uber feature, no need to take a hip pack for longer rides. Cons: The shock is "too small" for this bike. It does the job, but this bike needs something more heavy-duty and progressive. Mediocre performance on flats, but that is not what this bike is meant for.

What a great frame

The stevo is a great bike and this frame is not the exception. I love how the mimic the form of the carbon version in this frame. The SWAT box is huge and is really light to be aluminum. The color is amazing too, it goes with everything you want to combine it, and you can easily convert the Float X Performance into Performance Elite with the fox compresion knob kit.

Best Buy for a frame at the moment

Very very solid frame and efficient suspension. Completely adjustable geo so you are able to take this from trail to park shredder in about 15 minutes.

Great frame

I have the S4 AL paired with 190 mm Zeb. The bike is pure joy. It can eat absolutely anything and still climbs steep incline really well. Love the feel of it. Not too heavy. The geometry is just right. Riding at 64.5 but appreciate the ability to go 63.5. + having the SWAT box is really great.

Great Frame but not Brown like the photo.

I love this frame. Super adjustable. Buy it now! My only complaint is with the web/photo of this item. It isn't even close to brown on the base. It really is gunmetal gray. Fix your color maps Specialized!!!!

One bike to rule them all

Researched FS bikes for a year before purchasing. My non-negotiables were alloy, threaded BB, modern geo, boost spacing, 29er, and versatility. The stumpy evo alloy checked all the boxes. It’s not simply that this bike is able to be ridden on flat, flow, natural, or jump trails. It’s that it EXCELS on whichever types of trails you ride it on. Certainly the frameset can be purpose-built, but the engineered pedaling platform, travel amounts, and body positioning make it near perfect in all situations. Specialized nailed all the details as well; cable routing, SWAT box/tool, chain protection, headset system are all dialed. The colorway also looks great in real life, much deeper gun metal color vs the stock photos. If you want a bike that inspires confidence and puts a smile on your face no matter what type of trail you ride, the stumpy evo is the only choice.

Love the frame and the

Love the frame and the geo adjustability is incredible. Put a few runs down Downieville and Mt. Hough this year and this bike rips. I am 5'6" and am running a S3 with a mullet set-up. Extremely surprised at the pedaling efficiency as well. Incredible all-around bike, period.

Alloy love

I have been on specialized bikes for the last few years, and this is probably my favorite one! For me, this bike is the perfect middle ground between the stumpy and the Enduro. Playful, yet solid. Also, the fact that the SWAT box was available on the alloy frame made this one a no brainer for me.

Awesome Frame!

Super solid frame! Attention to detail is great and the frame feels robust while maintaining a fairly lightweight aluminum package. The SWAT door integration is such a great plus!! Plenty of storage space (more than the enduro) and sealed great to prevent water from touching whatever is inside. It is also very easy to clean, as most of the frame is very open and accesible which is always welcome. The geometry adjustments are quite simple and can be done fairly quickly to give a whole new ride feel. Overall a great frame to build a hard hitting trail bike with plenty of geometry adjustments to suit any riding style and terrain.
