Ein Rad für jedes Gelände-up-down-cross!

-Schon beim auspacken fällt einem die saubere Verarbeitung des Alu-Rahmen auf. Saubere Schweißnähte, edler Lack und tadellose Kabelführung. Rahmen in S5 (186) -Geometrie des Rades ist auf Abfahrt angelegt, der lange Radstand und flache Lenkwinkel bringen Laufruhe. Uphil geht das Rad gemach voran, kommt überall hoch wo es muss. Das schwere Gewicht ist hier allerdings eine Spaß-Bremse bei langen Anstiegen. Sitzposition ist durch einen kürzeren Vorbau sehr Zentral und bequem. -Die Anbauteile sind eher auf Haltbarkeit den auf Gewicht getrimmt. Die NX tut ihren Dienst in jeder Situation bisher ohne Probleme. Gabel und Dämpfer arbeiten sauber, wenn sie nicht zu Hart eingestellt sind, und schlucken alle Brocken mühelos weg. -Bremse geht so, könnte etwas früher packen für meinen Geschmack, arbeitet denoch geräuschlos und zuverlässig. -Das Rad ist trotz seiner Länge sehr agil und wendig und macht Spaß auf mehr -up-down-cross- Ein gut gelungener Allrounder der einem langen Fahrspaß ermöglicht!

Guter Allrounder !

Das Bike hat mich überrascht in seiner Laufruhe und seiner Kontrolle die man auf diesem Bike hat. Für den Preis ein super Fahrrad. Die Gangschaltung und die Bremsen sind nicht die aller besten, aber reichen voll und ganz aus. Es hat eine gute Klettereigenschaft, aber kann auch das genaue Gegenteil sehr gut. Bergab, auch wenn es mal ruppig wird bleibt es ruhig und bügelt schön über Wurzeln und Steine. Kann es nur empfehlen! Die Gangschaltung Upgraden und evt. die Bremsen und das Bike wäre nahezu Perfekt. Tolles Bike.

Kann auch Uphill

Berg runter geht das Stumpi wie eine Maschine und ist schon fast Enduro statt All Mountain. Bin aber auch erstaunlich überrascht, wie gut die Klettereigenschaften sind. Einzig und allein die Schaltung zickt im untersten Gang, wenn es mal richtig steil wird, ganz leicht. Ist halt „nur"" ne NX. Dennoch allgemein echt top, insbesondere das Handling.

Beautifully smooth bike. Exactly as I expected

Moved on from a hardtail Specialized to this bike a short time ago and I am, once again, able to keep up with my kids on the NW downhill tracks.

Great bike, but with caveats...

I've had the alloy frame now almost a year and have ridden some 2500 mi with it. The stock spec is fairly good, and I definitely prefer this to the Carbon Comp, since rock strikes can be a thing with low BBs. The Fox Rythms are typically excellent, but I feel for the price it could've been a Factory fork. Typical Specialized tax at work. I find the fork plush and very smooth, however the high speed dampening circuit is a little harsh and spiky, and the result is it keeps the fork higher in the travel. The rear DPS is good for most trails, unless you're riding a lot of gravity trails where the damper oil tends to warm up and influence the tune. Keep in mind this is a 210x51mm shock, but an over-stroked size up to 55mm can be fitted if paired with a longer fork too. For my riding weight of 220lb with kit, the shock tune was terrible; Far too soft up top and too progressive at the lower half of the stroke. I found two Negative air chamber volume reducers (no, they are not stroke reducers) and a large positive volume spacer (yellow 0.6 inch^3). I removed all volume spacers and added a 0.4 inch^3 spacer. *Dont run this shock without a positive volume spacer! If you are a moderately strong or a heavy rider, or simply ride rough trails, do yourself the favour and ditch the stock wheels. Specialized really cheeped out with these. The Roval Hubs Specialized use on this bike are total trash imho. On the rear wheel, I went through 3 sets of bearings within 700miles of use. Nearly every 60-80 miles the rear hub would develop play needing cone spanners to tighten. These are not DT hubs, but cheap 3 pawl system that are always a little out of phase, on every Stumpjumper I've tried. Ride hard, and occasionally one can hear a loud pang from the rear hub. I think the axle is just too weak and flexes too easily. The alloy rims are also very soft. The outer walls get dinged up super easy. I got several dents in my wheels from simple stone strikes that the tyre flipped over
