The Roubaix SL4 makes sure that you have what you need to explore the road less traveled, while keeping room in your wallet for a mid-ride brew. It features a FACT 10r carbon fiber frame that's been outfitted with Shimano's bombproof Tiagra components, an ultra-stiff Praxis crankset, and smooth-rolling Axis Elite wheels. Of course, you'll also benefit from our proprietary technology that's been tested and proven on the cobbles of Northern France, like our vibration absorbing Zertz inserts throughout the frame and fork and a compact race design. So go ahead and push it to the limits—the Roubaix will take it and keep coming back for more.

  • The SL4 FACT 10r carbon frame has all of the road absorbing, engineered compliance that you'd expect from a bike born on the cobbles, yet its compact endurance race design provides all of the responsiveness and performance you need for long days in the saddle.

  • FACT carbon fork is optimized for stiffness and responsive steering, while road chatter and vibration are significantly reduced via our proprietary Zertz elastomer inserts.

  • A stiff, lightweight alloy Praxis Alba 2D crankset is there to punch well above its weight class, minimizing energy loss while you're hammering away on the pedals.

Comefortalbe but loss of performance

Very nice light weight bike with the carbon frame. A little bit more upright seating position than what I was used to on my Allez. The weight or lack there of, makes the bike feel a little unbalanced, it is hard for me to ride with no hands on this bike, specially at low speeds. The Shimano Tiagra components are OK, not very snappy a little clonky and the outer limits on the chainring are so tight that it is impossible to get rid of the rub on the smallest gear and the large chainring. I thought I could have gotten more for the prices, but overall I am satisfied. Another weird thing is this new trend going to fatter tires, I am going from a 700x23 to this 700x28 seems a little weird, kind of losing performance. I know the whole thing with the Roubaix is the comfort, but I am not willing to lose that much performance for a little extra cushion, I will definitely be changing tires back to 23s. One thing I do absolutely love is my granny gear, wit the 11-34 cassette and the 50/34 chainring, that granny gears gives you a 1:1 ration, that makes it easy going up steep hills.
