Traction, control, confidence, and fun—the Riprock 20 is the perfect bike for your kid to start hitting the trails.

While there are many notable features that make the Riprock awesome, it's the 2.8-inch tires that provide the high degree of, well, shred-ability—delivering exceptional traction, control, and confidence for riding rough, off-road sections and city streets alike. And when you combine the big tires with sturdy 20-inch wheels, mechanical disc brakes, and seven-speed shifting, you have the perfect mountain bike to get your little Ripper out on the path to a lifetime of fun rides.

  • The A1 premium aluminum frame is lightweight and built to withstand the tough use by kids, while the geometry features an ultra-low standover that makes it easy for your little ones to fit on and grow with the bike.

  • Custom SR Suntour XCT fork features a sturdy construction and a coil spring that delivers 60mm of bump absorbing travel.

  • The 2.8-inch Big Roller tires not only ensure exceptional traction, but also offer greater ride quality, stability, and loads of fun.

Chain constantly comes off

When riding any form of rough terrain the the chain comes off the front chain ring. It causes a lot of frustration for my son. The adjustable chain guide doesn't help either. Also after researching this problem, I've found multiple people with the same issue. I'd expect better from specialized.

My girls love their bikes!

We purchased these bikes (24"" & 20"") for my my 7 & 5 year old daughters for Christmas of 2017. They love their rides. They even took them out for test rides in the 3"" of fresh snow on the roads (lots of tumbles). My 5, now 7yo is riding up and down trails with me and absolutely in love with riding. The only issue, she has expressed difficulty shifting quickly when needed and still keeping a good grip on the bars. Overall, these have been great bikes for them!

Awesome kids bike!

My 6 year old loves this bike! He got the blue and orange frame which looks great. The fatter tires inspire a lot of confidence and the extra stability helps him keep up with his older bro in the dirt. The 1x system is perfect for teaching him the basics of shifting. Another reviewer mentioned shifting issues, but we have not had any. I plan on getting him the 24"" model when he out grows this one. Highly recommended.

Takes abuse from my 5 year old, but one flaw😭

Overall amazing bike for the money. Larger tire help immensely for my little guy to gain added traction and forgivness. As he improves the disk brakes are essential, and easily upgradeable. A bit heavy but for the price an outstanding deal. Major disappointment is he has no way of mounting a water bottle. His last 20in from Specialized came with 2?? He rode 12 miles at Whistler singketrack and wanted his own bottle like dad. What happened guys? Still happy with the bike

So Awesome!

The website photos are a poor representation of the color. I purchased the pink color and the color is so much more vibrant (thankfully...might need to look into a better photographer to do your studio shots)! Props to Specialized for actually offering colors girls like. Components are basic but you can easily upgrade to other options if you choose to (bb is a standard 68mm threaded, freehub body can only accept 7 speeds, post mount disc). My kids prefer a trigger shifter over the twist shifter so I swapped that out. Standover clearance is outstanding. Handling wise, the bike is stable and a blast to roll over rocks, and jam through corners. I wish I had a bike like this when I was a kid! Would highly recommend this bike.
