Metal fans rejoice! The Stumpjumper Comp Alloy rocks on, with one of the most advanced alloy frames ever developed. From the frame’s asymmetrical design, taking in the refined suspension kinematics and all-new geometry, to a build kit that strikes the optimal combination of performance and value, it’s metal, but it ain’t heavy metal. And it’s ready to slay some dirt.

  • THE TRAIL BENCHMARK — When we set out to design the all-new Stumpjumper, we pursued some hefty goals. It had to excel on any kind of trail, for every style of rider. To achieve that, we went after serious weight reduction without sacrificing durability, a stiff, responsive chassis that still rides light and lively, geometry that improves everyone’s riding, and the best suspension kinematics we know how to design. Turns out, you can have your cake and eat it too with the new Stumpjumper.

  • THE SWEETEST 130MM OF TRAVEL YOU’LL EVER RIDE — We massaged the kinematics of the Stumpjumper suspension to bring out the very best all-round performance possible in a 130mm package. Countless hours of suspension lab development and field testing created a refined mid-travel ripper that eats big terrain like a gravity fed beast, handles like a dream everywhere, and climbs like it has a motor.

  • PROGRESSIVE GEOMETRY — The S-Sizing geometry of the new Stumpjumper hits the progressive sweet spot. It’s long, low and slack, with a short offset fork and a steeper seat tube angle. These numbers combine to make your ride more stable, more carvealicious, more comfortable climbing, more better everywhere. With FlipChip adjustability you’re able to further fine-tune your fit, ensuring that your new Stumpjumper performs flawlessly on whatever terrain you choose.

  • RIDER-FIRST ENGINEERED™ — Rider-First Engineered™ frames use a size-specific approach to ride characteristics that ensures benchmark handling and flawless performance, regardless of frame or rider size. Whether you’re a jump-happy grom riding an S1, or a DH-fiend giant in need of the lengthy S6, you’ll experience the same ride traits – rail-sharp cornering and balanced front and rear stiffness – at the lightest-possible weight, And by light, we mean real light: 2,250 grams (S-Works, S-3 size, with rear shock).

Great bike, but needs some upgrades

I have really enjoyed my 2021 Stumpjumper Comp Alloy, it was a huge upgrade over my Norco Fluid HT2. It handles all the blue/black trail riding I do and makes me want to ride as much as possible. However, I have already had a few issues with the bike after 2 seasons. 1) The rear shock had to be rebuilt after the first season. 2) the rear hub had to be replaced after the 2nd season. It is a good value bike, but be prepared to upgrade the rear hub if you ride a lot.

Heck ya, so fun!

This bike is awesome! I fitted it with some cool upgrades and rode the heck out of it last season. I have ZERO complaints with my new Stumpjumper! It rides smooth and handles excellent, so fun!

No confidence in this one

I own multiple bikes and this one is by far the most unstable. The butcher front tire lets go without warning unlike the dhfs and agassi I have on my other bikes. I have tried multiple pressures with no luck. The SRAM brakes take a longer pull to grab than shimano brakes. The suspension is great but too many front tire wash outs and too hard to stop.

Nailed it

This bike has been great for me. At 5'11 S4 is perfect. Feels planted and confident at speed and lively and flick-able everywhere else. Comfortable and easy to climb with. Get the bottle cage and Specialed tool as well.

OMG! All you have to do is think it.

I have about 1,500+ miles on mine. It has saved my bacon so many times. In situations I knew were not ideal I would just think it and the bike would say give me more. 27.5 for ever!

Love my Bike

Got my hands on a new S1 and it is awesome. I love taking it DH at Keystone Bike Park while also using it to do some nice uphill and as a beginner it's a better bike than I'll ever be a rider that's for sure!

Best bang for the buck love it!

After waiting for an SC Tallboy alloy R build that kept getting delayed again and again, I canceled my special order and after calling a few shops in my area I got lucky and found this bike in an S4 Cast Umber color. Its a great bike with the latest geometry and great components off the bat for the price. Suspension and brakes are a major upgrade from the entry level model. G2 brakes offer a lot of confidence when descending, I love them. Weighed my bike on a bathroom scale (terrible way to weigh a bike) just to get a rough estimate and it came in at 34.4lbs with one up components composite pedals and no bottle cage(i suspect the weight is lower 32-33lbs). I have been doing mostly climbing since I'm up in the mountains for the summer and while it climbs well it feels heavier compared to my 2018 Scott scale 960 hardtail but that's to be expected this bike is way more heavy duty and capable than my last hardtail(use that climb switch). Descending is incredible offers so much capability its scary. This bike is leaps and bounds more capable than I will ever be. I reached 30mphh on a downhill scared to death and the bike wanted more(I attribute that to the FOX suspension and modern geometry). So this bike is a win IMO if you have the cash spring for the carbon comp model from testing it, it feels way lighter and will be better for those tough climbs given the lighter weight. But all in all very happy with my purchase. Would recommend to anyone its a fantastic do it all bike.

Amazing bike

This bike is amazing and beautiful. I use it for regular MTB and downhill and it handles great. I've gotten so many compliments for my bike out on the trail that I lost count.

I glad I bought this bike!

My first full suspension bike. I'm 6'2'' riding a s5. Bike is glued to the trail. Pedals great. Turns awesome feels super stable turning but still nimble. I was nervous about going to 29ers from 27.5 on my last bike. Well I was nervous for nothing . I used sizing guide and sized up one for a more stable ride I feel it was a great decision. The welds are pretty nicely smooth out. It's great looking bike with modern geo tons of stand over.
