Better than ever after all these years, our Hardrock is still the best performing mountain bike in its class ... and for good reason. With its lightweight frame, stable geometry and outstanding specification, no other entry-level hardtail on the market can match this combination of performance, versatility and value.

  • SRAM X3 7-speed trigger shifters for smooth, accurate gear changes

  • Specialized Body Geometry XC saddle with front and rear bumpers for off-road durability

  • Specialized Fast Trak LK Sport tires use a reduced knob height for lower rolling resistance

  • SRAM 7-speed cassette replaces freewheel mechanism of years past for lighter weight and more durability

  • 80mm smooth-travel fork with preload adjustment and size-specific spring rates for fine-tuned performance

  • Fully butted A1 Premium Aluminum frame with double ORE down tube makes for a lighter weight, more compliant and longer lasting bike

Great Bike

I have had this bike since 2009. I am finally upgrading to a Rockhopper. Great work horse. Durability is formidable. It has only needed maintenance twice for how much I rode and used it. Over all Great Bike!!

Great bike

I've owned a Hardrock se 29er for quite awhile. It's a pretty well rounded beginner to intermediate bike. It's great on the trails and good on the road. I mainly use it for trail riding but it can handle some pretty rough terrain. For the price I don't think this bike can be beat. I would easily recommend this bike to anyone looking to get into mtn. biking.

The Do-Everything Bike!

I have one of the original Hardrock bikes (bought in the '00's) and it's like a member of the family. Just yesterday, with all this pandemic crazy, I took a great ride through the nearly-empty streets of my neighborhood. I've taken this bike EVERYWHERE! And as long as I keep up with the maintenance, I look forward to riding this for years to come.
