AN OLD FAVORITE MADE NEW, the Hardrock is still the most versatile hardtail for kicking around town, but its lighter weight, more efficient alloy chassis and category-leading specifications make it the perfect introduction to XC Trail riding.

This fully butted A1 Premium Aluminum frame offers improved fatigue life and comfort in a high performance and lightweight chassis, with an ORE top/down tube, externally relieved head tube and reinforced disc brake mount.
An SR Suntour suspension fork features a smooth 80mm of travel, with external preload adjustment for on the fly, fine-tuned performance.
Dual compound Enduro grips offer a comfortable handhold on long rides.
7-speed EZ-fire shifters provide predictably smooth, accurate gear changes.
The smooth-shifting Shimano crankset is a rock-solid performer in a wide range of conditions.
Lightweight Specialized Fast Trak LK Sport tires have a low knob height for efficiency and shoulder knobs for precise cornering.
The Specialized XC saddle features Body Geometry comfort and abrasion-resistant side patches for enhanced durability.

It's a nice MTB

As an owner of a Specialized Hardrock for 13 years i can say that this XC bike is indestructible. Everything works really well and shifting is smooth. Only thing that i dont like about it is that it doesnt have disk brakes, but luckily it has mounts for them. Great bike overall!

An old, simple yet super fun and awesome bike

My father bought this bike many years ago in the early 2000 as a gift for himself in one of his birthdays. When I was younger, I had quite a few bikes for myself for some years and during that time I had the chance to try his bike once in a wile. He knew I loved. It was lightweight, had a much better gear ratio compared to my previous bikes and it was so comfortable. I ended up using it daily years later and it was so good both in the city and in trials. Unfortunately, one day it got stolen, and I was devastated. Afterward we bought a new bike but It's nothing compared like this one, I had so much joy and I learned a lot with it. A simple yet super good bike.

Good riding bike

I myself have a weight Hard Rack Specialized. The one I have is a 24 speed . I have put well over 50,000 miles on this bike. I need to replace the forks now , as well as the bearing. I do have a new Cane even though both sets of sprockets need to be replaced....

Would Recommend?: Yes!
