Safety Check
Before your rider gets going, make sure the bike is in ship shape!
Check all nuts, bolts, and screws to make sure they’ve been tightened. Especially the seatpost and faceplate bolts. Also, make sure that the saddle is in alignment with the centerline of the bike.
Test Ride
Let the rider pedal around outside for a couple minutes.
Watch them ride and make sure they seem stable. They should be able to pedal comfortably as well as start and stop easily.
Want to take it to the next level?
Set your saddle height to this mark:
0
If the rider feels comfortable riding around, you can try raising the saddle height for a more advanced fit. This will help the rider pedal harder with less effort, going further, faster.\nIf the rider prefers to have their feet flat on the ground, that’s ok too.
