NICK NAME
Rampaige

DAY JOB
Mountain bike coach, personal trainer and mom.

YEARS RIDING
25

PRIMARY RIDE STYLE
Mountain bike—DH and trail.

FAVORITE RIDE PLACE/ROUTE
Well, Whistler of course, but I'll do a trip to Moab with a big smile on my face as well.

FAVORITE POST-RIDE FOOD/DRINK
I really don't have one. I guess it depends on the time of year. Chocolate malt when it’s hot. A breve latte when it’s cold and rainy.

CLIMB VS. DESCEND?
Descend! But, you've got to pay the piper every once in a while, and on rare occasions I like a good climb.

DREAM RIDE
I've been lucky. I've ridden and raced all over the US and some in Canada. I've hit all of those "best in the world" places over here, so I would have to say New Zealand and some of the bike parks in Europe are tops right now.

FULL LYCRA, Y/N?
Full Lycra? LOL! No...

DREAM RACE/EVENT
Like I said, I've been pretty lucky to ride and race in so many places. I do have a current goal that could be put here.... But, I'm not ready to announce that one to the world yet. Besides, it’s a goal, not a dream. The moment I call it a dream, rather than a goal, it becomes less attainable.

I LOVE RIDING WITH
My 14-year-old son. Best riding partner EVER!

QUOTE/MOTTO
"Be better today than you were yesterday." Really this can be in anything. Does it always happen? No. But we can always work to be the best version of ourselves on any given day. However, my husband and kid might say "just trying to contain the crazy" is more appropriate.

WHY DO YOU RIDE?
More reasons than I can count. Over the years the bike has always been there. I guess it's my best friend. Sometimes it makes you feel like a superstar and gives you the confidence to be brave. Sometimes it slaps you around and puts you back in your place. It has probably become part of my identity and I feel like I could be lost without it. The bike has definitely created a tremendous amount of self-esteem. I've gotten out of some hairy situations on my bike—by myself. Once you do that on your own, some of the other stuff in life is not so scary. It has probably taught me to rely on and trust myself more than any other thing in my life.

SKILL YOU WISH YOU COULD MASTER BUT HAVEN’T (YET)
Ha! That's a hard question! Everything.... I'm lucky enough to ride with some incredible coaches, racers and riders. It makes you realize there is always something to learn and few of us have "mastered" the things we think we have.
