The Status 160 may be an all-new bike, but it’s really an all-new way of thinking about how to have the most fun possible on two wheels—even if that means they’re different sizes.

A 29-inch wheel offers up maximum cornering traction and roll-over capability in front while a 27.5 inch wheel out back brings with it shorter chainstays—and the party. Paired together with our playful Mixed Wheel-Size Trail Geometry the result is capital-F fun. Park-stomping, trail-slashing, getting-jibby-with-it fun.

We rounded out the Status 160’s fun-first frame with everything you need to keep the party going—big brakes, an X-Fusion Manic dropper post and Fox’s FLOAT 36 Rhthym fork paired with a DPX2 Performance shock, all brought together by the active, planted feel of our FSR suspension platform.

  • Focused on fun and featuring our Mixed-wheel Trail Geometry, the Status frameset is a fewer frills, all thrills FSR delivery system crafted from our hard-charging—and hard-wearing—M5 alloy and is designed not only to take a hit, but keep asking for more.

  • Fox’s FLOAT 36 Rhythm fork calls their venerable Grip damper into service in the name of adventurous riders everywhere, offering impressively controlled travel with plenty of trail-feel that puts confidence on speed dial. The two-position Sweep adjustment ensures the FLOAT 36 Rhythm is right at home dealing out its 160-millimeters of travel in just about any environment while 36-millimeter stanchions promise plenty of stiffness for precise handling at the limit.

  • Quality suspension unlocks some serious free speed, so to slow it all down, we tasked SRAM’s proven Code R brakes with stopping duties. Forged four-piston calipers offer serious stopping power, while 200 millimeter rotors on both ends of the bike promise plenty of fade-free bite when it matters.

Big bike for big fun

I have a status 160 and its a monster of a bike. Its capability outstrips mine by a large factor. Big brakes and good suspension mean its awesome on trails and can handle all the downhill im prepared to do. Eats up everything ive tried so far

Perfect Intro Bike

Been riding a hard tail for 10 years and just started getting into off road tris and this has been a GAME CHANGER! Lots of travel for me being 220lbs and 6'1" and I don't feel like I'm going to break anything when I'm pushing hard. Built tough but easy enough to pedal uphill and bomb down. Not a thing about it I'm not loving.

Trail smasher

The best for the money hands down this bike rides crazy good and is super stable at high speed because of the fairly long reach but still super fun and flicky because of the short chain stay and mullet set up would recommend.

Would Recommend?
Yes!

Mega Bike !!

Das Status 160 ist einfach ein Spielkamerad für jedes Gelände! Seine Stärken liegen im Bikepark-Riding und bergabfahren. Mega Bike !!! Leider fällt das Gewicht relativ hoch aus.

Absolute machine!

Think I may of possibly had one of the first sold in the UK.... Sold a levo, fancied alittle more fitness after injury and 2 year recovery and this bike is nothing but confidence boosting, it's an absolute tank on the trail, despite slack head angle it's actually a pretty fast climber and eats up the downhills, handles everything I throw it at and I'd buy it again and again. Pros - fox sus, code r breaks, mullet set up, considerabley light for a non carbon bike Cons - nx crank, nx derailleur and drive train, xfusion dropper. ( I must add, this is just personal preference the nx system is yet to fail but I did have a bent dropper post after 3 weeks) Colours are Awsome but not very eye catching.... Maybe next year's model could have a wider colour choice. 5 stars for the status 👌👌👌
