You're cutting your teeth in this whole road cycling thing, and your appetite for performance is insatiable. And it's for riders like you that we made our Tarmac Sport. It has all of the frame-level performance features of its more expensive brethren, only its components are suited to the reliability required of hard riding while you're learning the ropes. You'll also find an identical, Grand-Tour-winning geometry, plus a FACT 9r carbon fiber construction that's nearly mirrors what you'll find under the likes of Peter Sagan and Alberto Contador. For the spec, we selected components that deliver the best bang for your buck, durable Axis Elite wheels, a mix of workhorse components via Shimano Tiagra and Praxis, and a bevy of Body Geometry components that maximize performance by providing the utmost in comfort. We think that it's time to step your game up, and the Tarmac Sport is just the right tool to do it with.

  • The FACT 9r carbon frame combines lightweight performance and compliance to ensure that you receive the legendary climbing responsiveness and descending prowess you'd expect from a Tarmac.

  • S-Works FACT full carbon fork with tapered construction provides incredible front end stiffness and steering response for instantaneous accelerations and high-speed descents.

  • Significantly lighter than comparable wheelsets in its class, these tough Axis Elite wheels offer tremendous value in one smooth-rolling package.

Exceptional Bike

I had this bike from 2016 to 2023 until I upgraded to the SL7. Absolutely loved everyone I rode this bike outside! Took my first Crit win on it and won multiple District and Provincial Championships on this bike. Great for training and great for racing with some deep sections you’ll fly like I did! Thank you to all the engineers, designers and everyone else who made this beautiful bike possible. It has served me so well, not one day of trouble with her. Highly recommended bike. Regards Erlank “Sharky” Nel South Africa

Great Carbon Frame

I have to admit, I decided to bought the bike as my first road bike. I am satisfied very much. I really feel the difference betwenn aluminium and carbon frame. This bike sattisfied my need I simply love to ride the bike. The geometry the feeling seems like were produced exact for my requirements. I also like the geometry of the frame, and to be honest I thing this geometry is the best ever, the carbon frame absorb roughness on the road so it is very compofrtable to ride on it. I simply love the bike and very satisfied to choose Specialized Tarmac as my first and for sure the best choice. If you have opportunity to buy spec from the 2017 year do not hesitate you will love it.

Best Road Bike I Ever Owned

I bought this bike just this year in March of 2019. This Bike sat in my local bike shop since 2017 how no one picked this up was beyond me. The only thing i wasn't satisfied with is that the Crank and Brake Calipers were not Shimano 105. The 2019 version is all shimano 105 also stop using praxis bb's their junk. Use the shimano ultegra bb's that are on $46 Canadian they are way better.
