Had this bike since June 2023

My first official bike I purchased for myself, I was 33 years old. I like it, it helps me. I'm still using this bike today. It's still in good condition.

Brake Honk and Gear Clicking

Bought in 2022, have had it serviced twice for brakes honking. Hindsight is 20/20, should've spent a little more for Tektro brakes on higher trims. The gears click often and require you to shift up/down multiple gears to catch correctly. Cost to upgrade both is half the cost of what I originally paid for it.

Get rid of those brakes

Bought in spring 2022 in Tallinn,Estonia. Promax F1 brakes no good at all, frequent leakage problems, until replaced by vendor for free. Secondly, the promoted Specialized own brand mudguards leave very little clearance, so the debris and dirt picked up from forest or park trail after a rainy day will block the wheels pretty quick.

Brakes were bad

I got my bike and I was very exited. I love this bike. I use it to commute to work and it works beautifully. The only downside are the brakes. I don’t know if I got defective brakes or what but so far I’ve had to service them 4 times. The stopping power gradually goes down and a loud squeak happens every month or so. I use normal roads so this shouldn’t happen given that I’ve only had this bike about 3 months. I’m upgrading the brakes to a more reliable set because I almost had a serious accident. Other than the brakes I love the bike

Decent bike, making noise

After my first10 mile ride, this bike back wheel starts making noise. Second ride the front brake starts making noises. Got it on sales, maybe that’s the reason.

Sirrus x 2.0

I haven’t owned a bike since I was a teenager and recently got the itch to start biking. Tried out an old one laying around and it was so uncomfortable and just not a smooth ride. Grabbed the sirrus x 2.0 and it was such an incredible difference so smooth and comfortable.. gears shift beautiful. The color is awesome and I like the reflective feature for when I decide to ride at night. It glides over all different terrains nicely the road .. bike paths.. grass no issues. Overall it’s an amazing bike I love it

Good bike for money

Lightweight, good gear shifts, good saddle. Love doing evening rides. This was my upgrade from cheap supermarket bike I had to a real bike, can really tell difference from weight and ride quality. Still was not sure about drop bars so went with this hybrid

Good commute/touring bike

Good bike. I was looking for an affordable bike that already has hydraulic breaks for easier breaking, is on rigid fork, and only on a 1x grouping so i wont need a front derailleur. This bike fit the specs i was looking for. its perfect for bike commute and exercise. Especially if you're in the city. It's lighter than an mtb but not as light or fast as a roadbike so I'd say it's a good touring hybrid. It's good for in between when you want to take on roads but also a bit of gravel. I got this because the area im in has a mix of paved paths but also trails. The thick tires help it to be less susceptible to punctures unlike with a sleek thin wheel in road bikes. Was able to try it in a forest trail with uneven dirt road and it's kinda challenging to be on rigid coz you can feel all the bumps and has no suspension so definitely don't get this for that unless you're used to its handling. It just gets tiring for my palms/arms/carpal in the long run when i ride more than an hr or two continuously with a flat bar. But since i couldnt afford the gravel bikes with drop bars, this is already a good alternative for the price. Got it at around 620+tax+pick up fee totaling to 707$ Overall, good to get this if you're mostly commuting within cities, wants to exercise, or do a leisure stroll around the city.

Love the bike and great service

I ordered this bike online and picked it up at my local dealer. The process was seamless and I love the bike. I use it primarily for workouts on paved roads, but also on some packed dirt pathes.

Flaws in design and a broken frame

Overall is not a bad bicycle. The problem are some design flaws. I had problems with the chain, it kept falling off several times after I bought the bike. After a year, the frame broke from the seat post and top tube joint. I got to say that Specialized replaced the whole bike, amazing warranty, even when I as in another country (however I had to pay like 100 euros to the local retailer for the assembly). On the newer model, it was obvious they had fixed the issue with the chain. Another issue are the brakes. I had problems with both bikes. The rotors were constantly rubbing the brake pads. I assume that is because the bicycle has cheap hubs, and even cheaper Quick Release axles. I believe more expensive models like the Sirrus X 4.0 that use a Thru-Axle and better components will not have that issue.

Perfect for my urban needs

I purchased this to commute to work and as my main form of transportation for smaller, urban needs. It's absolutely perfect. Smooth ride, quick gear changes, quiet and you can tell it's built like a tank. The only drawback was the saddle. I'm sure it would be fine if you wore bike shorts with some support, but being that I use this for work, I switched to the Expedition Gel and it's actually lighter and much more comfortable.

Great bike so far

I have a mountain bike and a distance bike but I wanted a bike to buzz around town, mostly pavement with some gravel. My requirements were a hybrid style (no suspension fork), 1x shifting (hate that front derailer), hydraulic disc brakes and internal cable routing. This bike ticked all of the boxes and was hundreds less than the nearest competitor. I live in New England so it's not quite biking season yet but I've already done maybe 75 miles on this bike and I'm very satisfied so far. Nice ride and smooth shifting with plenty of range. I'm used to mechanical disc brakes but the hydraulic are definitely superior. I did change the pedals and grips but that's just a personal preference. I would absolutely recommend this bike especially for the price.

CHAIN FALLS OFF FREQUENTLY

The chain falls off at least every other ride, typically on bumps. Sales people will tell you they only have a single front gear to reduce this, doesn’t work, terrible design. Last time it fell off and busted the cheap plastic guard, had to pay to replace it.

Very nice name brand bike

Very nice name brand bike for the price. Feels very efficient, great transmission of power from feet to the road. But also pretty good transmission of bumps from road to your hands and bottom. Might run tires a little soft to sacrifice some efficiency for comfort. Brakes feel nice and stiff like a Shimano XT. Very easy to assemble out of the box, everything was tuned up, just needed to bolt on handle bars, seat, pedals and wheels and ride!

I love my bike

I bought this on a recommendation of a friend as a starter bike for my new hobby. I’ve always had beach cruisers so the ease and speed of this bike is a welcomed difference. The bike rides well on both road and gravel and has yet to make me feel unsafe. The color makes me smile every time I walk out the door and see it. I bought the purplish one.

Nice bike for the cost.

Nice bike for the cost. I like the single front gear sprocket. Shifts well with a bit of a noticeable click when shifting. Tires ride well on the cracked roadway. Seat is comfortable. Weight of 28 lbs is a little more than I would like, but guess I'd have to spend more for carbon. Good for someone not looking to spend a lot.

High quality

While this bike was certainly not cheap (for me) I am really pleased with this purchase. This is the first serious bike I have ever purchased, and I haven't ridden a bike for years, I also had never ridden a bike with any sort of cassete. I had to re-learn how to ride a bike, which didn't take too long, and I had to put it together. With a little help from a cyclist friend on the phone, I was able to put the bike together with no unreasonable hitches, though the instructions were kinda bad. Since then the bike has been great, it rides well through dirt, and on the road or pavement. It is exceptionally balanced, and I love the blue color, which is what I got. I'm glad I got this, and I'm sure it will continue to serve me well.
