nice parts all around, a good buy

I just got one of these used and came here to find out what the stock parts were to get replacements but the page isn't detailed enough. (I need a bottom bracket and want to get it without taking out the old one). I did learn that the rear derailleur was also replaced, everything else looks 100% stock though. I would buy this bike again. The only thing I don't like so much are the 3 microshift brand parts and the plastic pedals, still it's a nice bike for the original price. As another review said, the geometry on this bike puts the rider in a mostly upright position. It's hard to tell from the photo but for sure that's how you're riding. I've removed all head spacers and it's still too high for what i'm used to. The only options remaining are to get a crazy down angled stem and/or find a headset with a shorter stack height. I'll just ride it the way it is...

Everyday Ride

Purchased to replace an old '80s road bike that I used for commuting 10-12 miles per day. Has above-average components for a bike in this price range. Carbon fiber fork, hydraulic disc brakes, special photoluminescent paint. I ride year-round in all types of weather so fenders were a must. The bargain-basement bottom bracket and chain each required replacement within one year. Ditto for the resin disc pads. Since replacing the BB and chain with better quality, I expect average life and don't mind replacing a chain occasionally, especially due to the lack of maintenance this bike gets. Since upgrading to new discs and metallic pads, no premature wear. I hate that the brakes squeal when damp, but the noise actually lets pedestrians know what is coming. Wheelset and tires are a bit heavy but do allow for riding on all types of terrain and feel more secure in ice and snow conditions.

Sturdy yet fast and comfortable

Exactly today marks 1 year of daily usage going to work and for leisure rides. Used on every possible condition: old tarmac, concrete, gravel, stones, mud, severe uphill (had to zig-zag across the road to climb), snow and ice. Estimated mileage: 4000KM. Yet it looks just as good as new! This bike takes any level of punishment you throw at it! PROs: - Components. Haven't experienced a single problem so far, despite the daily usage. The selection of brakes, transmission, rims is perfectly aligned with the price. - Weight. I can easily carry it around, upstairs or over that road gate that really shouldn't have been there. - Frame/ride. Comfortable and agile, the ride is versatile and adapts to both roads and urban environment. - Aesthetics. It simply looks d@mn good. CONs: - Ride position. Although this down to personal taste, I feel the ride is slightly more upright than I wished. Recommended upgrades: - pedals - bar ends - mud guards - thinner, slick tyres if you plan to use it exclusively on tarmac
