When tubeless performance on race day is mandatory but durability for rough roads…

Tubeless Performance

Tubeless Performance

Tubeless systems significantly reduce the amount of material that must deform, which reduces friction and loses less energy, leaving more energy to propel you forward. The tyre also deforms easier in response to road imperfections, giving you better grip and a more comfortable and controlled ride.

BlackBelt Puncture Protection

BlackBelt Puncture Protection

The slowest tyre is a flat tyre. That’s why we’ve developed all-new BlackBelt Puncture protection using a new hybrid Kevlar breaker. Our BlackBelt breaker is now lighter and stronger, delivering up to 8% more puncture protection than previous iterations. It’s more flexible too, delivering a supple and confident ride.

GRIPTON® T2 Compound

GRIPTON® T2 Compound

Our engineers created an entirely new rubber compound by tuning the mechanical stretch and relaxation of polymer chains. Yeah, they’re kinda mad scientists. The result? S-Works tyres with all-new GRIPTON® T2—the fastest, most efficient compound we’ve ever created—in the center combined with the legendary grip of our GRIPTON® T5 on the shoulders.

When tubeless performance on race day is mandatory but durability for rough roads all season is just as important the S-Works 2BR delivers – from cobbled classics to your daily lunch ride. Our all-new Gripton T2 compound is the fastest, most efficient compound we’ve ever created. We’ve combined this with the legendary grip of our Gripton T5 compound on the shoulders to the Turbo 2BR more grip, speed, and durability than ever before – six watts faster vs the previous 2BR and just 260 grams for a 26mm tire.

As a tubeless tire, the new Turbo 2BR can self-seal punctures when used with RapidAir sealant, that is if a puncture can ever pierce the Blackbelt protection under the tread which delivers 8% more puncture protection than the previous tire. This new Blackbelt was created using hybrid-Kevlar protection under the tread. You’ve not only got improved puncture protection but lighter weight and more flexibility for a more supple ride.

The new S-Works Turbo 2BR is also compatible with both hooked and hookless rims for the flexibility to ride the wheels and pressure you want. Our new Zylon reinforced beads also exceed hookless burst pressure standards by 200% for ultimate peace of mind. When it’s all about efficiency and great handling in concert with incredible durability you’ll see the S-Works Turbo 2BR performing everywhere from the World Tour to local training rides.

2nd ride, gotta replace the rear

Was really excited about slapping these suckers on. First ride felt super smooth but on the 2nd ride, already have a decent size cut and think I need to replace it. Kinda sketched to ride on it. Durability not what I was hoping for. Less than 100 miles on it.

3,000 Miles Without a Hitch

Fantastic tire! I logged 3,000 miles before my first puncture. It’s fast, grippy, and durable—perfect for both racing and everyday riding. Highly recommended for anyone needing a reliable tubeless road tire.

Fast Tire/Easy Tubeless Setup 700 x 30

This is an incredible tire. I saved close to 10 watts per tire going from butyl tubes and a mid-performance tire to setting these Turbo T2/T5 tires up tubeless. Ride feel was immediately improved and was noticeable within the first couple hundred feet of riding. For the same conditions (temp, route, wind, HR, Power) I was 1 mph faster at my zone 2 pace. I honestly wasn't expecting it to be that much better than my mid-performance tires (brand name also starts with an 's') but I'm blown away at how much better these tires feel and perform. Tubeless was easy to setup and the beads snapped onto the hooks with a little soap and water. Great tire Specialized!

Incompatible

Have got front to sit on my Hunt Carbon 40 but given up getting rear to sit properly on Hunt Carbon 40. It just won't mount onto the rim properly so you get a flat spot. Regardless they are a really tight fit and I have snapped tyre levers getting them on. Not sure I want to be stuck with a puncture away from home fighting to remount these trees on my hoops.

Really Great @ 2,000 Miles (30mm)

I've been riding these on my Aethos for 2,000 miles without a single flat. Fast & comfortable with excellent grip when cornering. My riding buddies have been flatting all around me so I think the puncture resistance is pretty stellar.

Excellent tires so far

No complaints. Were a bit tough to mount but now that they’re on they run great tubeless.

I love it.

First tubeless set up. Running 30mm on the Aethos with 60-65psi. These tires grip on the corners and rips straight.

Great choice of lightweight, tubeless and grippy tyre

Coming from Vittoria tyres, I was looking for exceptional grip, tubeless and easy to install. These tyres ticked all the boxes. I installed (2) them on new Dura Ace C50 wheelset with 23mm internal rim, the outside measure is 28mm with 80 psi. Perfecto 👊 No regrets.

Incredible

My new go-to tire. Have not had issues w/ faulty beads or leaky sidewalls. The T2/T5 are, hands down, the easiest tires to install, inflate and seal which I have tried. They have since replaced my old setups of both Pirelli PZero Race & Schewble Pro One TLE tires for road racing. Do not hesitate - these are incredibly fast, wonderfully grippy and puncture-resistant. 10/10 would recommend!

Doesn´t hold the air when going tubeless

Doesn´t hold the air when going tubeless - every 6 hours you need to pump again. I used a lot of milk but no difference....

T2/T5

The Upgraded T2/T5 first of all sounds like a Star Wars land vehicle name. I feel the new tire is better and an improvement over the the last version. There are less visible cuts and gashes in the tires after hundreds (thousands maybe) of miles. They seem to roll better IMO than the last version. No flats this year or the other S-Works Turbo version for that matter! Lucky? Not sure. But when I decided to try another brand last year (begins with a P) I was nervous to ride due to I many flats that accompanied the change. Not as flimsy as the other brand during my A/B comparison either. Needless to say, I switched back to these tires. And guess what? Zero flats at the time of this writing using the above combo or even the previous S works tire in like 6-7 years! I ride the same bike trails in all types of weather conditions and temperatures. They roll well, seem more durable, absorb road vibrations, & instill confidence.

Very satisfied

my first specialized tire never sealed completely. took it to my LBS and after they tried sealing it without success they immediately replaced with a new tire that fits perfectly. after replacement they’ve been great so far. i have them set up tubeless on roval alpinist clx ii’s and they were easier than any install than any other tire i’ve use (continental 5000, vittoria corsa grapheme previously). the bead sat perfectly on my first inflation to 80 psi with a floor pump. running at 60 psi and they feel great.

Faulty or poor design?

The tyres must be faulty. They are so tight on the rim they won’t pop onto the bead….I’ve tried them on two different wheel sets and tubed and tubeless. They wouldn’t seal and don’t even look asymmetrical when spinning the wheel. Hope I got a bad pair and others have more luck

Beads don’t seal

Used these with 3 different wheels, among them Rapide CLXs, varying sealant fill levels from over-filled to under-filled and everywhere between, not once would the beads on these tires keep a consistent seal. Nothing like grabbing the bike for a ride only to find a pool of sealant on the floor under your flat tire. Decent tire when inflated, unfortunately that tended to be a minority of the time.

Great all around tires for general purpose/training use!

Where should I start? These new S-Works Turbo 2BR T2/T5 tires, compared to the similar highly rated Vittoria Corsa N.EXT's, they roll faster, offer much better road feel, but much better puncture protection, and lighter weight, also better looks w/ tan wall. Wet cornering grip is on par too. I've ridden a set of these Turbo 2BR T2/T5 for more than 2000 miles now, suffered a few cuts to the tread of the tires, but so far not a single puncture. They're surprisingly easy to install and seat on rims, unlike the infamous GP5k S TR's. They may not be the fastest rolling tires on the market, but they are definitely the best all around tires for training and general everyday riding!

Very fast with incredible grip. Mounted easily to Roval rims. Two punctures already but both sealed. Both were pretty big thorns that would have punctured any tire.

Horrible to install and slower than my Continental GP5000s.

I love specialized. My bike, and almost all accessories are Spesh. I work part time in a Spesh store. I so wanted these to work. Installation was horrible and took CO2 and sealant to get the bead to grab. The ride is comfy, and the grip is good. I was 1 mph slower today with these than my GP5000TLs. 10W less but that doesn't make up the difference. Same course, similar conditions. 40 miles route. Back to my GP5000s. Oh well.
