Don't get us wrong—carbon fiber is awesome. But when it comes to maintaining piece of mind while you're out getting rowdy on the trail, it's pretty damn hard to beat the confidence inspiring construction of an alloy frame like the Stumpjumper FSR Comp 29. It features an M5 alloy construction that's lightweight, durable, and plenty stiff and compliant, while a durable blend of Shimano and SRAM components have been hand selected to ensure that you get the most performance over rugged terrain possible. And when you factor in our proprietary Rx Trail Tune at the shock, plus an aggressive, trail-eating geometry that features absurdly short chainstays, a roomy top tube, a low bottom bracket, and a slacked out front end, you get a trail bike that you can be confident in, season after season.

  • 29x2.3” Specialized Butcher Control front tire inspires confidence through any terrain.

  • 29x2.3” Specialized Purgatory Control rear tire delivers reliable traction over a diverse section of soils and conditions.

  • Command Post IRcc seatpost features 12 positions of up to 125mm of height adjustability for a more customizable position, ultimately resulting in more control and increased handling on both climbs and descents.

  • M5 alloy Trail Chassis with Stumpjumper FSR rear end blends durability, stiffness, and light weight, while 135mm of travel Trail 29 Geometry provide more than capable handling.

  • Connected with our FSR 6-Pack Linkage, a custom FOX FLOAT Evolution rear shock features AUTOSAG for easy setup and 135mm of plush, adjustable suspension, while our Rx Trail Tune provides a more supple, responsive, and efficient feel for climbing up and descending down the trail.

  • RockShox Revelation RC3 29 fork features a 15mm Maxle Lite thru-axle and 140mm of plush travel to take on hits and bumpy terrain with more control and confidence.

great starter bike

this is one heck of I bike I am 13 and I ride a medium right now and I love it I need a new bike and am sad it see this one go. this bike is fun and playful I learned to to so many tricks on this bike and it is amazing to ride. the way it climbs is crazy I can do hills that my dad with a 52 cassette ( it is probably because of my age but still you get the point). it rips on the down hill as well I feel so confident on this bike. this bike is great to start your kids off with there first full suspension bike. this bike get a solid 10/10

Best trail bike ever

I have a very hard time finding bikes due to my height, I'm 6'7"" and 230 lbs. The XXL size is a perfect fit for me, and after beating the heck out of it for a while it has still held up with factory stock parts. This includes plenty of local stuff around town and plenty of road trips into the mountains doing some decent enduro/downhill stuff. I have done some upgrades along with routine maintenance and service, and its amazing how well the entire bike continues to perform. I've checked out other bikes from different companies that offer larger sizing and it feels as though the Stumpjumper is just a great fit for me personally, I plan to stick with Specialized for a long time. I previously owned a 2013 Rockhopper as well that was an XXL size frame (which is what drew me into the Stumpy) and that bike was also an excellent fit and great performing bike.
