Bought my shoes in April. I didn’t ride all of June due to a surgery. It’s early September & the eyelets for the shoe laces are ripping out and the leather is tearing. At the laces. Didn’t even get 1 season out of them. I get they’re $50 but I don’t think Specialized would manufacture this kind of trash even for $50.
Love the shoes, I've been using them for just general riding. These are great for commuting and riding around town. They are easy to walk in, I wish the clips were a little deeper to keep them from grinding on the floor, but overall very few issues/complaints.
Love this shoe for everyday riding. It’s comfortable on short or long rides. It’s the perfect amount of stiffness.
This is my first pair of clip-in flat mountain bikes shoes and I really like them. Comfortable, grippy and good looking shoe.
Great shoes glad these are my first
Just ordered my second pair! My first pair lasted me two year and stayed stiff the whole time. Only replacing because all the rubber was falling off on the bottom.
Really nice fit, they feel really good as well, but both shoes have the front of the soles starting to peel which is unfortunate as I really liked them, but soles peeling isn't something I can ignore. Kept them in the box for a month before putting them on too.
Very nice and sturdy shoe. Very comfortable. Price was awesome.
The shoes are comfortable and the clip system works good. Im wearing for 3 weeks only but I'm liking. The shoes are a little heavy but comfortable compared with flat/ballet shoes. Remember to buy two numbers high.
Absolutely the best cycling shoe I use it for indoor cycling. It's very comfortable. I recommend this shoe.
I really like the shoe but they just look like I am wearing them on the wrong feet. I realize they are not designed as a fashion item!
The shoes are great fit and comfortable the only thing I would suggest if you're going to get a pair of these shoes to make sure you get a little larger size than normal I did and they fit great
Had to send first pair back because they were a half size too small, even after ordering the size I thought was generous based on the “runs small” reviews. I would say runs very small. If you are a size 11.5-12 men’s US, order at least 12.5
Fit is good, traction is good, like the style, but since the lace holes are not reinforced, I popped the second hole on both shoes about 4 months after buying. Hopefully this is a warranty issue.
Comfortable, does not attract a lot of attention(a good thing for me). Fairly light weight.
If they fit they are probably great. Please make a version of your shoes in a EE/ wide. I had to order a pair of Shimano, waiting to get those to see how they fit.
Great casual shoe for lots of applications. I use them primarily to commute and to do rides with my family when I don't want to be kitted in out in race gear. They're comfortable to walk in, though I wish they had just a couple mm more of tread on them for walking without fear of scraping the cleat on the floor. Still, they're fine for a quick trip to the store or a beer stop after the ride with buds. The tread material is grabby in a good way and would do great with flat pedals. I use them with spds and they work well. They're not very stiff compared to a race shoe, but they're good looking enough to not look dorky when walking to your office after the commute. Size is spot on for my feet; very consistent with other 44 sizes.
Well built. But, narrow in the toe box and tight on top of the instep. Even with the insoles taken out. The heel cup is fine, but can be a little tight when the front gets caught up when trying to get the foot in. I got the 43.5 EU/10.25 US size, which should be roomy enough considering that I usually wear a 9-1/2 to 10-1/2, depending on the last the shoe was made on. I am seeing if they will stretch without the wear and tear off a shoe stretcher, but I may have to do so. I do like the foam inner last. But the ability to adjust mounting angle of the cleats is limited is a bit frustrating, too.
Great shoes.
Super comfy and stylish! Fit is normal as street shoes.
I was tired of my old road bike shoes and since I purchased a sporty Specialized e-bike I wanted something sporty to wear. These shoes fit the bill, and the price was great as they were on sale.
I got these shoes just because my other clip in shoes are not confortable for walking in the Rocky Mountain trails. I used them twice so far and they feel great as expected, however it looks kind of funny, like if they were on the wrong feet. Awesome shoe but look wrong like if I had done issue with my feet. I still using by older pair because of it and can’t returned it since I used it in the dirty mountains.
Very comfortable. Work well with Crank Brothers pedals. The cleats slipped around a little at installation time, so it took me longer than usual to get them tight and situated in the right place. Definitely run small. If you're coming from FiveTens, go up at least half a size.
Pretty good. These accommodate my wide-ish feet. My only criticism is the uppers are pretty stiff and don't conform to my feet readily. This makes it tough to cinch down the laces for a snug fit, but maybe I just need to break them in. These meet my expectations and seem like a suitable replacement for the poor quality Adidas (five Ten is dead to me) Freeriders I'm coming from. Still searching for the perfect lace-up shoe, though.
Quite comfortable but is about half a size to a size bigger than comparable street shoes. Comfortable to walk in but the recesses for cleats are just a touch too shallow so the cleats hit the floor occasionally.
This shoe has a nice pedaling platform while being pretty comfortable to walk around in. It also has a lot of grip on and off the bike. The only issue I had is breaking in the fit due to my wide feet, but they fit pretty well after four or five rides.
The tongue of the shoe is a bit thick for my liking which does make the shoe feel small even though it is not. It fits great everywhere else. Very nice looking shoe though. Really wears like a normal shoe and barely notice the cleat. Could be worn as a regular shoe even in a business casual setting if you wanted to.
Super comfortable yet still stiff and powerful, look slick, love them.
Great looking and comfortable shoe at a good price..👍
Super comfy shoe …. Sized up by 1/2 size as suggested in other reviews. But May buy 1/2 size smaller in future. Dries fast after a wash too (using newspapers to draw out the moisture)
Great shoes, I used the guide on the website and measured my feet and the size which was recommended do fit but are a touch on the small side. When I wear this pair out I will likely order the same shoes again but will go up a size.
The European sizing makes it difficult to get a true size.
Nice looking and comfortable shoe great for a casual ride or for whenever you want to tear up the trail.
Ridden them for about 40 miles so far and they feel and perform great. I am happy with them!
These are my first pair of actual biking specific shoes and they are amazing I can't wait to push them to their limit in the new year, Anyone looking for a good clipless shoe I 100% recommend these as they are comfortable and fit good but my only complaint would be how tight the top of the shoe is but other then that they fit extremely well.
I had Sidi shoes forever and was never very comfortable I just dealt with it than I bought these and love them
Great pair of shoes for trail riding
Stiff sole for good power transfer. Not the most comfortable but good enough to walk around in for a short time after rides. Shoes run small so order a half size larger than your normal fit.
A little narrower than most shoes I have bought. Love the adjustability of the shoe to pedal.
They are great very confortable and I love how the look, only thing is that the outter fabric tore a little on the second time I used it. Maybe it was a rock. But they are great!
Great shoes. Nice and light.
Nice feeling shoes, with much lighter weight construction than my 510 Freeriders. Unfortunately the sizing is way off, I fit 42 in all my shoes, casual, formal, mtb, road. But the 2FO in 42 was just far too small, I could barely walk in them.
Only about 50 miles on them so far. I have high arches, so I get a bit of a hot spot on the top of my feet, but they aren’t broken in yet so time will tell.
Good fit, "comfortable enough" to walk around on all day without blistering, attachment feels solid in the pedal. It does not hold to the foot as tightly as a purpose-built bike shoe, you're trading some efficiency for the casual shoe look/build. Over all good compromise between regular shoe and bike shoe. You'll click walking on tile but this is a good stealth shoe for dates or whatever.
Like the shoes. I went half a size bigger and they fit.
Fit and comfort are great. So is the style. I wear these while riding my mountain and gravel bikes. Would be 5 stars if they were a little cooler and easier to get on.
These are my first shoes of this style and I love them! I found them a bit warm at first but got used to it pretty quickly. I am usually and 8.5 women’s and bought the 39 but had to return them since they were too small. I then bought the 40 and they fit perfect!
I like these a lot so far and stoked I own them. A little heel lift happens when walking, and if you try to tighten laces to resolve the heel lift it cuts circulation off a little when riding. Otherwise a fantastic shoe: great looks, really good performance for trail/all-mountain, and the cleat makes minimal contact when walking on floors. I've ridden them in dust/heat and in wet/mud and they were not too hot and didn't let water in.
Tight for my wide feet. It came recommended when I did the foot sizing evaluation on the specialized website. Fits to tight. Going to a bigger shoe to see if it fits better.
Super comfortable! I highly recommend them to ride to and walk around at local breweries.
Little section on my ankle bone that rubs, and makes them uncomfortable. After breaking em in, they work amazing, and overall love them.
Nice wide toe box. Solid fit. I was advised to go for a snug fit which gave me toe room but the heel doesn’t lift. By the way, some have complained the cleat make a noise on hard floors; that hasn’t happened for me. I wonder if they’ll be hot in mid summer but right now, they’re my favorite cycling shoes.
I love this shoe in all areas except toe protection. The thicker toebox plastic/rubber ends before your pinky toe location, so I've had quite a few painful interactions with my pinky toe and a stick/rock/stump. I'm actually worried enough about my pinky toes that it's making me think about getting a shoe from a different brand that extends the toebox protection down past where your pinky toe resides. I haven't had this happen with other shoes so I'll probably look elsewhere with my next purchase unless the toe box gets modified as indicated. Otherwise I love the shoe (fit, performance, look, etc.) I'm just concerned about my little piggy's safety!
Great shoe that connects really well when clipping in and out. Look great and are nice and light. When going hike-a-bike due to sketchy terrain they work really well too. Definitely go with your normal foot size or go a half size bigger I went half a size smaller for foot stability but wish I had stayed with my current shoe size.
Very surprised by the fit that required a full size up from my other Specialized shoes, Rekon Race and Rekon Lace. The fit was very comfortable once I got the correct size. My only complaint is the cleat doesn’t sit low enough so will scratch the floor when walking and walking my singlespeed up a steep trail will cause the cleat to wear out prematurely.
Purchased these shoes based on much research and having read the reviews. I’m very happy with these. They run true to size, look good, and are comfortable enough. Would buy again.
I forgot I had new shoes on which is great. No hot spots or pressure on any part of my feet. Customer service was top notch as I returned one pair to get the next size up. It would be nice to have a Velcro strap across the top to keep the heal down during those hike a bike sections.
The 2F0 Roost Clip is by far the most comfortable MTB trail shoe I have ridden in. Stiff and with great transfer of power, it looks great and is also much LIGHTER than other trail shoes I have worn. I've power washed mine when muddy and they look early as good with 1000 miles on them as they did new.
I bought these a couple months ago and was very excited for them. They arrived in a timely manner also the fit was just as I expected. I have another pair of specialized Mtb shoes that I use for dedicated trail use and got the same size as those. The main reason I got these was for an everyday shoe to wear for work so I don't have to switch shoes after my commute . I'll start out by saying I dig the way these shoes look. Most people just think they are a normal shoes. The power transfer and stiffness are really good as well. Unfortunately the cleated don't sit deep enough to keep them from making noise on hard surfaces. The other problem I had with them was cleaning them. I got mud on them and still haven't been able to get it off. Overall I would say if you are using these as only a Mtb and don't plan on wearing them for long periods off of the bike they are great. But if you plan on using them as I did maybe try something else to avoid the tap shoe sounds.
I had these backordered from back from October and have had them now for 2 months. I've had many pairs of mtb shoes from Specialized including a few pairs of Rimes and the 2fo Cliplight which was da bomb! It needed more grip which the Roost has but was otherwise perfect for fit, protection, and stiffness. The Roost lacks fit which could be resolved with Boas. It also needs more protection for enduro applications . The new DH Roost (so much for pre-ordering the Roost) likely solves the protection issues but not the fit. Bring back the cliplight 2fo and add the new bottom grip!
I ordered a size 41, my normal size, they fit perfectly. The firmness of the shoe during my complete pedal stroke is great. I really like the style also.
Got these to replace my older 2F0 shoes. These are more comfortable for longer days. I wish they head the BOA instead of the laces, but the laces make for a more casual look.
