Specialized New Zealand is operated out of Christchurch. Our team love having the Port Hills as a playground, getting to ride our bikes as much as we help others to ride theirs. The fact that we are riders has guided our every decision since the company begun in USA in 1974, and continues to do so today.
Below are snapshots from a few of the team. We all ride for different reasons and in different ways… Have a watch and get to know some of the crew! New clips are added on Wednesdays.
Trail builders are the unsung heroes of mountain biking. We are changing that. Specialized Soil Searching is a movement to recognize, celebrate, and support the trail builders who help shape our sport and our stoke. We recently asked for nominations of trail builders in New Zealand who deserve a Soil Searching Levo to help them get to, and shred, the trails they work so hard on. After a humbling nomination process, the winner of our Soil Searching Nomination was Marty Richards. We also auctioned off another Soil Searching Levo on TradeMe, with all proceeds being donated to TrailFund NZ. A Whopping $17,850 will be donated to the fund, which creates and maintains trails around NZ, as a result! With only 50 of these limited edition Levos made worldwide they were designed and built - just to reward trail builders and support causes such as the Trail Fund.
If there’s one thing that unites the people who work here, it’s this: We believe that bicycles have the power to change lives. That’s why we’re always looking for passionate people from all disciplines who share in this belief and who are looking to play an active role in inspiring and getting more people on bikes. Are you ready to make a difference?
