Smoother is Faster

Smoother is Faster

Smoother is faster comes from suspending the rider, not the bike. As rough roads impact your Roubaix, our all-new Future Shock 3.0 and AfterShock technology keep you floating above the chaos - reducing impacts by 53% vs. the nearest competition.

Pioneering Endurance Geometry

Pioneering Endurance Geometry

The Roubaix’s endurance geometry delivers an “IN” the bike, not “ON” the bike feel that’s ideal for long rides. It relieves stress from your hands, arms, and shoulders, yet is ready to dissect any twisting mountain descent at full gas.

More Clearance, More Capable

More Clearance, More Capable

With tyre clearance up to 40 mm, this endurance road machine delivers better traction than ever on rough roads and even light gravel. We’ve given it every mount your adventures could need—three bottle mounts, top-tube mounts, and it’s even fender-ready.

Aero and Lightweight at the top of the Class

Aero and Lightweight at the top of the Class

The new Roubaix SL8 is our most aero yet, with new fork shaping, a reimagined downtube, and dropped seat stays. At just 825 grams, the frame is 50 grams lighter, utilizing lessons learned from the Aethos and our premium Fact 12r carbon blend. Nothing in its class is faster or lighter.

Peter Sagan’s Choice

Peter Sagan’s Choice

Roubaix with Future Shock was a game-changer for Peter Sagan as he chased Paris-Roubaix glory. But don’t take our word for it. Hear the 2018 Champion of the Hell of the North himself tell us exactly why he’s a fan of the Roubaix.

Annika Langvad’s Ride

Annika Langvad’s Ride

What does the greatest XC marathon racer in history choose when she hits the road? Roubaix, of course. Annika Langvad tells us why the Roubaix is her bike of choice to deliver race-level performance on the long days she loves.

We created the endurance road category two decades ago proving that high ergonomics means high performance. Today, the new Roubaix SL8 with Future Shock 3.0 is lighter, faster, and smoother than any road bike ever made, unleashing unmatched confidence. The road may be hell below, but on Roubaix, it’s always heaven above.

  • COMPLIANCE: Future Shock 3.0 is the star of the show, more tunable, adjustable, and durable than ever. Now, regardless of position on the bike, every rider experiences 20mm of smooth, stiction-free travel between the stem and head tube. Future Shock helps keep your hands and bars steady for a smoother ride with more control to stay fast, safe, and confident.

  • Our dropped clamp design exposes more seatpost to increase deflection, but “more” isn’t simply better. The Pavé seatpost controls that deflection for the optimal vertical compliance. Together they create AfterShock technology, and when paired with the Roubaix’s rigid rear triangle, deliver a smooth ride with no loss in efficiency.

  • The Roubaix SL8 is the smoothest road bike our Ride Science Team has ever tested—reducing impacts at the bars and saddle by 53% vs. the nearest competition. With Roubaix’s Future Shock 3.0 the wheel quickly moves over the bump, while rider mass remains stable, maintaining momentum in rough terrain. Typical forks deflect backward on impact, causing a measurable loss in speed. It’s a scientific fact, smoother is indeed faster.

  • CAPABILITY: The Roubaix pioneered endurance geometry, so you ride “IN” the bike, not “ON” the bike to relieve pressure on your hands, arms, and shoulders for capability and confidence on any road, yet it’s ready to dissect a mountain decent at full gas. Snuggle up.

  • With tire clearance up to 40mm, this endurance road machine delivers better traction than ever on rough roads and even light gravel. Thanks to lightweight, super-efficient Specialized tires, that extra tire volume and traction comes with no downsides.

  • Roubaix inspires really BIG days on the bike, so we’ve given it every mount your adventures could need—three bottle mounts, top-tube mounts, and it’s even fender-ready. So, go ahead and bring it all along for the ride.

  • PERFORMANCE: The new Roubaix SL8 is our most aero yet, with new aero shapes from our Free Foil library and dropped seat stays. At just 950 grams, the frame is lighter, utilizing lessons learned from the Aethos - the world’s lightest production frame - and Fact 10r carbon blend. Nothing in its class is faster or lighter than the Roubaix.

Comfort, Speed, Gravel Curious

Likes COMFORT: with the head shock, wider Roval Terra wheels, and 32s Sworks Mondo tires this bike is hands down the most comfortable road bike I've ever ridden. Road vibrations are nearly eliminated. Never felt fresher after 3 hours in the saddle. Comfort equals speed and the bike is also aero as well bladed fork and tight front wheel in relation to the down tube is key. VERSATILITY: I purchased as set of ROVAL Alpinist CL II wheels for road riding and use the Roval Terra wheels that came with the bike as my "gravel curious" wheels. I have 40s mounted on the Terra wheel set and ride glam gravel all day with the head shock dialed into a cushy setting. Basically this is 2 bikes for the price of 1 and more than capable on road and medium rough gravel! Specialized Roubaix Pro, 2024.

Green Bull Rocks!

This road bike is so smooth, yet when I want to step on it, it responds so, so well! This bike is so much fun riding on the road. I look forward to many, many rides and miles that will be so much easier riding such an awesome Specialized bike!

The best combination of geometry and components

Specialized hit the jackpot with the Roubaix pro SL8 bike frame and selection of components. The Roval Terra wheels and Mondo 32mm tire selection are brilliant for riding twisty mountain descents and the Sram Force gearing provides the ability to carry a higher cadence climbing with no sacrifice on top end descent performance. With road surface deterioration becoming commonplace, the Roubaix's shock absorbing performance has reignited my enthusiasm for making the long winter trips to the Los Alamos / Santa Barbara corridor for riding during our sustained rainy periods here in Western Washington.

Rides like a dream

Love this bike! The electronic shifting is great. Specially for arthritic hands. With a 36 in the back, climbing had become effortless. I really didn't think much of the shock in the front, but it makes a huge difference going over expansion cracks and rough roads. The wider tires make for a smooth ride and cornering is solid. Even the app has enough tutorials (online) to make set up easy. It tells you your tire pressure and battery percentages. Overall the bike is great!!
