Faulty wheels

After 2 weeks, front wheel developed clicking noise when pedalling or freewheeling. Rear wheel developed same problem shortly after. Seller opted to replace front and rear wheels with Shimano. Poor quality wheels.

I’ve just completed the London to Brighton and the bike was excellent. Smooth and accurate gear changes and excellent brakes for the steep downhill sections. I would definitely recommend

love the extra tire clearance

this is everything a modern budget friendly bike should be. fender mounts and extra tire clearance great for foul weather and comfortable but snappy geometry. they claims 35mm tire clearance and there's room for a little more. plenty of room with 35s. stock wheels are on the heavy side so i'm saving up for a wheel upgrade, but this bike flies and great value!

Not compatible with Allez sport 2023

The rods are angled and designed to be attached to seat stays and not the seat post clamp. The bolts provided are too long and stick out of the bicycle. This rack doesn't appear to be compatible with frames such as the allez.

Acceptable beginner road bike with versatility

I was devistated when my Specialized Allez Elite fell off my bicycle rack on the freeway and was destroyed. The Allez Elite was my first road bike and completely got me hooked on cycling. I loved the lightweight frame, the smooth Shimano shifting system, the rim brakes, and the slim wheels. I was eager to begin cycling again and thought the Allez Sport would be a suitable replacement. Unfortunately, the Allez Sport did not align with my expectations. That being said, it's a solid bike for a beginner road cyclist who is less concerned about speed and perhaps more interested in a bike that holds up well on non-tarmac surfaces such as light gravel and sand. This bike would be a great commuter bike for someone who also wants to give road cycling a try.

Top entry-level Racebike

I bought the Allez. The bike got to me 3 days later. It was mounted in such a way that you only had to adjust the handlebars and saddle height. I have adjusted the gears, but the brakes are in top condition, no wobbling discs or grinding. The bike rides great, the Sunrace cassette shifts better than a cheap Shimano cassette. The Praxis crank is buck stiff. It can be ridden top uphill and is great when pedaling out of the saddle. Saddle and tires are also good, you don't have to change anything. I'm glad I bought a Specialized bike and didn't prefer a cheap manufacturer. Only the saddle clamp is a bit big. I use it for commuting and sometimes weekend touring.

Superb bike that's great to ride and well designed to be easy to live with.

I've moved over to the Specialized Allez alongside a carbon bike with Di2 electronic gears. I'm really pleased with the Allez for its ride quality and easy of use design. First off the bike is nice and light for its spec. The frame rides as nicely as it looks. Smooth and efficient, I've not noticed a difference between my carbon bike on lateral stiffness. The internal cable routing, standard headset and threaded bottom bracket are also a good balance of aero, neat aesthetics and maintenance ease. The mechanical gears are also fine and don't come with the potential battery drop out anxiety that's the down-shot of Di2! The Tiagra shifters higher hoods are surprisingly useful. You can use them like a wide aero bar to get some extra speed gains! Kudos on the Praxis Works chain set and bottom bracket. Nice bit of kit to go the distance with. For future potential I'm sure a wheel upgrade would drop the weight further and add some aero advantage if you do want to get a bit more speedy.
