At 72, after decades of road cycling, but in declining health, I was riding less as I was faltering on tougher climbs and frankly fearful of not finishing a ride if my symptoms began to flair up. The Turbo Creo 2 is the perfect fit for my needs. Even without battery assist, it's a very smooth ride and doesn't feel like 31 pounds. A few tweaks and 38c tires give it more of a road vs. gravel bike feel. Shifting, braking, cornering and overall handling are huge improvments over my old Roubaix and Diverge.
Plus, the clean silhouette and battery hidden in a relatively thin downtube make this a great looking road machine, not a bulky, wonky "E-bike."
I'm back to riding daily, enjoying the thrill, and with a new measurement of performance: using less and less battery power from ride to ride. It's great to be improving, and comforting to know help is there if I need it.
I feel like a cyclist again, not just a man on a bike.
