Unmatched Comfort

Unmatched Comfort

The Mio 2 features specific toddler oriented sizing and our SX headset fit system, to help it stay properly fitted and comfortable, whenever it is worn. The easy-to-use tri-fix web splitter makes getting a ‘fuss-free’ fit incredibly simple, and a helmet they’ll beg to wear.

Low Density Foam

Low Density Foam

Lower density foam is softer and helps increase energy management inside the helmet, something we learned while developing our Dissident II. While your little one might not be lining up to drop in on the top of the mountain, to us, every rider - big and small - deserves the same level of helmet innovation and effort.

More Foam, More Fun

More Foam, More Fun

Increasing the amount of any foam inside of a helmet grows the overall size. But for Mio 2, our addition of 16.5% more low density foam only grew the helmet by 2.5% in overall size. Even with more foam, Mio 2 still maintains a light weight without obstructing the view, ensuring your littlest riders can move freely and eye up their next obstacle.

Set your littlest riders on the path to two-wheeled freedom with the all-new Mio 2 helmet. Through an exclusive partnership with KTH Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Mips, we shared our helmet’s CAD designs and studied the malleable skulls of young children with Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Because toddler-aged children’s heads are softer and still growing, using low density foam - and more of it - was the outcome of this partnership.

DATA DRIVEN INNOVATION: Coming out of our KTH and Mips partnership, the Mio 2 had increased the amount of low density foam inside by 16.5%, only growing the overall size of the helmet by 2.5%.

COMFORT: The Mio 2 may have the latest and greatest technology inside, but that only matters when the helmet is worn properly. That’s why Mio 2 features specific toddler oriented sizing and our SX headset fit system, to help it stay properly fitted and comfortable, whenever it is worn. The easy-to-use tri-fix web splitter makes getting a ‘fuss-free’ fit incredibly simple, all adding up to a helmet they’ll beg to wear.

UNLEASH THEIR IMAGINATION: On the outside, the Mio 2 comes in energetic colors sure to inspire fun and creativity from adventure-hungry kids. The included sticker pack offers a retro vibe with a modern twist with bright graphics and lettering for even more personalization. After all, getting our young riders excited enough to want to wear their helmet everyday is the number one goal.

For helmets sold in the U.S. and Canada: Complies with U.S. CPSC Safety Standard for Bicycle Helmets for Persons Age 1 and Older.

Standard buckle is problematic

This helmet fits my petite 2 year old perfectly and she loves wearing it. I got it to replace a different helmet after a fall. However, for the price I expected a pinch-free buckle more comparable to her previous helmet. The Mio 2 has a standard pinch buckle and it is very easy to pinch little chins. If I had realized this I probably would've gone with a different brand. She also had a significant chunk of hair ripped out in the tightening mechanism when taking it off one day. She loves it though and won’t let us replace it because she says it is very comfortable once on. The only caveat being that the rounded back makes it much less comfortable in the bike trailer by pushing her head forward slightly. We use this helmet solely for balance biking and it provides excellent coverage for her while still being lightweight. The blue/green option matches her green Hotwalk perfectly.
