Think of the Camber 27.5 like a multi-tool, but with the added fun and agility of 27.5 wheels. At the top of the trail, it's lively and fast. And on the way back up, it climbs without any wasteful suspension sag.

In other words, it blends all of the trail bike characteristics that you want with the XC climbing prowess that you need. This is achieved by thoughtfully combining our M5 alloy Trail Chassis with a Camber FSR rear end. The combination results in blending lightweight, rigidity, and durability in one package.

At both ends of the bike, you'll find sufficient travel lengths that deliver plenty of plush suspension—all without going overboard on big hit capability. This means that you don't have to sacrifice efficiency, weight, or sheer speed to ride how you want. And with our Trail 27.5 Geometry and lightweight, stiff, and smooth Concentric Pivot at the rear, we can guarantee it.

For the build, we selected durable, performance-driven components like Tektro Gemini hydraulic disc brakes, a reliable mix of Shimano and SRAM shifting, a custom X-Fusion rear shock, and a RockShox Recon RL fork.

  • An M5 alloy Trail Chassis w/ Camber FSR rear end has been paired with our Trail 27.5 Geometry to create a bike that's fast, durable, and just at home on the climbs as it is mowing over rock gardens. It also features the shortest, most nimble rear end possible, and internal cable routing to make clean lines and reliable shifting through any condition.

  • A RockShox Recon RL heads-up the travel up front, and lets you adjust rebound and lockout.

  • A SRAM GX rear derailleur will win your heart with reliable shift after reliable shift. It's built with durability in mind, so it's tougher than your average rear mech.

Great entry level full suspension bike!

This bike is a great value and works extremely well for an entry level full suspension bike. I have been riding now for a couple years and was riding a hardtail XC bike, the Specialized Pitch, before recently purchasing this bike. The first thing I noticed about the Camber was how short the chain-stay was which puts the rider weight back almost over the rear tire. The bike center of gravity also feels so much lower than my previous bike. Both of these features translate to a feeling of pure confidence and stability going over rough terrain and downhill sections and am having so much more fun now on the downhill sections now! As far as the drive train and components ,the bike rides and shifts extremely smooth, it practically propels itself over flat terrain. Brakes feel solid. One minor weakness is that there is no quick realease for the seatpost. I suppose Specialized figures that most owners will upgrade to a dropper post. This issue was quickly and cheaply solved by buying and installing a quality quick release for about $10. I am probably in the minority of not caring about a dropper post as most of the trails I ride have one long climb followed b y one long downhill section and do not find it that big of a deal to drop the post manually at the top of the trail. Another weakness of the bike is the rear x-fusion shock. The shock does work reasonably well and feels smooth, however the lockout feature is basically useless, at least for my rider weight of about 200 lbs. I also noticed that putting the recommended air pressure for my rider weight seems to have too much rebound and was almost thrown off the bike (even at the lowest rebound setting). I found that lowering the air pressure about 10% seems tames the rebound. However, the lack of lockout at this air pressure translates to bit of wasted motion on the climbs. The bike makes up for because it is so stable at low speeds I am able to hold a straighter line on steep climbs. Overall a great bike!

Best bike I've ever owned

Recently got this bike and have been sending it on everything i see.. the bike is built well and handles everything like a champ. Best bang for your buck, can't beat the price and the quality. I made a few upgrades ( pedals, copper and tubeless). Best bike I've ever owned. Specialized rocks!!

A High Potential Trail Bike

Original weight was around 32 lbs. (medium Frame). So far I have changed The following: XTR 980 Crank converted to 1x11 with NSB 28T 64 BCD (980 crank was used) Shimano 1x11 cassette with xt rear derailleur and shifter XTR trail pedals Crank Brothers Cabalt 2 wheelset (Boost) Thompson seatpost with WTB titanium rail saddle Race Face Aeffect 70mm stem with 35mm Easton Carbon bar. Going to 1x11 got rid of the front derailleur and shifter. I can see getting it down to around 27 lbs. with a change to Maxxis Rekons and a Reba fork. Don't forget you can sell the parts you take off. Had a GT Sensor (2016) which is a great bike and a little plusher in the really rough stuff, but the Camber handles better and turns tighter. A great bike that is more than the sum of its parts when new - probably the best buy on the market. Most of the components I already had. A great trail bike that can be used easily in the bike parks with a simple change of tires. Don't hesitate. I would have rather had it in black, but only red was available at the time. I'm trying to get used to it. Buy it!!! Current weight is 29 lbs.

Excellent Ride

Just purchased this bike before winter. Its a great bike and happy I made the plunge from my older GT loaded with Deore LX line. So far the components are solid and the suspension works great. I would have liked it this bike to be a little lighter, but with a few upgrades it can get there. Very happy with my purchase.

It is a perfect budget bike.

This bike is GREAT for the price! If anything you are getting a lot more than you should for the price, which is great. The only thing I would upgrade on the bike is the pedals, they come with the factory plastic pedals. I would go with Raceface pedals or Crank Brothers pedals. IT IS A GREAT BIKE!
