My hands are on the large size but not the largest by any means. XXL is the largest size offered and they are more like a medium to large. My fingers feel like they have tourniquets on them and the only way I can use these will be to snip the stiching to open up the finger holes. Maybe XXL in Vietnam where these are made but definitely not sized for an Irish American.

While riding my ebike on a gravel road in Glacier National Park, I slipped on some loose gravel and got a road rash plus 2 stitches in my forearm and a bruised rib.. The webbing in the palm area of my Dual Gel glove tore but the excellent padding at the wrist and base of my fingers prevented any damage to my hand. Thank you Specialized for a good product.

I'm a bigger cyclist at 225 pounds and ride heavy on my bars. These gloves are fantastic for taking out the vibration and the cushioning is great. They do tend to run a tad small.

Plenty of padding, and in the right places, and a very ergo fitting glove. This glove was thought out before producing it. If you need more strategically located padding, this gloves is well worth trying.

Those gloves have nice thick padding but do not feel bulky on handlebars. I’ve been wearing them since 2017. And I keep buying them. Recently I had a fall and the glove got damaged so it was time for a new pair. Without falling and scraping them on a hard surface, they last a really long time. My hand was completely fine - not injured or hurt at all. I hope Specialized will keep making them.

My second or third pair of these Specialized short finger gloves. The quality is better than many others I’ve had/tried and the price is competitive. I always order one size larger than recommended.

Son los guantes mas comodos que he usado hasta ahora, se adaptan muy bien a las manos al momento de tomar la direccion de la bicicleta, ya sea ruta, gravel o mtb. Son frescos, faciles de poner y retirar (no es necesario hacerle fuerza al punto de arriesgar dañar el producto). Es el segundo par que compro por que tienen unas almohadillas muy gruesas en los puntos de apoyo de las palmas muy efectivas. Recomiendo para los que tengais la necesidad de más amortiguación.

I have big hands, because no gloves ever fit except the ones made in 2XL or XXl. Even in their biggest size these are a bit tight around my thumb and first finger joint. And the Velcro closure is kind of scrawny, it’s hard to find when I want to take the gloves off. But the padding is good, and they look good too. Maybe they’ll loosen up.

I've been riding for decades- hand pain was never a problem till this last spring. Rode a non-suspension bike in a very rough area. By the time I was done with the 20 mile ride I was holding the handlebars with just my left hand. I thought I had broke something. Doctor said no breaks just ulnar nerve on heel of right palm. He suggested better grips and putting a sponge inside my glove. My grips were changed and I discovered the Specialized Dual Gel. If I push directly on the Ulnar it still hurts- but with these gloves I can ride for 25 miles with no pain to my hand.

Gel palms are great for avoiding numbness during rides at the 15 to 20 mile marks.

This is the third pair of these gloves I have purchased. They are by far the best I have seen to protect from pain and numbness in your hands and fingers while riding. It is important that you do not buy them too large or the padding won't be on the right part of your wrist. They are supposed to be a little tight coming off and going on. They are well constructed. The part that will wear out are the gel pads. When the gel pads are flat, you need new gloves. These gloves are a quality item. The stitching lasts. I'll get several thousand miles in on a pair before they need replaced. For reference I am a mediocre rider putting in 3000-4000 miles a year. I am 5'11", weigh 160# and wear a medium sized glove.

These were more expensive that a pair of Giro Jag gloves that I bought earlier than these ones. You pay more for that Specialized quality, right? But the Specialized gloves lasted less than a year before they were coming apart at the seams. Meanwhile my Giro gloves are still great. I have photos to show this, but there is no option here in reviews to post images.

Good gloves for the money

Only gloves I wear on the mountain bike. I’ve worn these on tons of 4-6 hour rides and a handful of 7-8 hour races with no complaints. Highly recommended. Two notes. I did have to size down from my normal medium to a small. The tighter fit helped to eliminate any shifting that could cause rubs or blisters, especially on rides over two hours. Also, I would not machine wash them. Instead, just soak them in soapy water for a day then thoroughly rinse and air dry.

These feel great, are easy to get on, and the big pads really help with numbness while riding. I was worried the pads would feel too big, but they feel perfect. I have large hands (I think I have the XL size) and I love these gloves.

I like them! Remember that they’re gonna be tight so size appropriately.

Confortable Gloves For Longer Rides

I bought this as a nice-to-have item that I threw in with my helmet order. Turns out to be something that I must wear each time I ride. I don't have a suspension front on my bike, so all the jolts are felt. Also, I found that just by resting on my hands, the nerves impinge and cause numbness. The gloves don't eliminate the nerve issue, but GREATLY reduce it. The fit is great, and I love the straps that secure them. Fine quality, great price.

I think I used to get this glove years ago and it used to be my favorite. However, these pair seem a little bit cheaper and not very flexible. I find after a few hours the gloves start to feel tight around my fingers. I would’ve preferred a little bit more elasticity in some of the pinching areas.

Nice glove. Moderate amount of cushion compared to other products. No more helpful for preventing numbness in my hands than other glove products. I will move to different handle bar grips as next numbness solution.

Everything Specialized is top notch. I ride the Aethos currently. Torch shoes, jerseys and shorts are specialized also. And of course gloves!

I love these gloves, both for biking and for typing. I go thru several pairs a year because I have found that the pads in them make a great cushion if you have your hands on a laptop all day, like I do. Specialized should consider marketing them as an adaptive device for those who hands ache after a day with their hands on a computer. The cushion is in almost the perfect spot for a laptop. Takes a long minute to get used to them in terms of the dexterity of your fingers, but once you have tried it, you won't want to type without them.

Gloves are not true to size and are not the same great quality of 10 years ago. Same thing applies to their cycling socks.

I like them. Cushion is outstanding. It really makes difference. Comfort is good. However you need to hold hands on grips correctly otherwise extra layer of cushion might feel uncomfortable. But that should not be a significant issue and you should be able to find proper spot quickly. I really like fabric and quality. I’d re-order them again for sure

Gloves seemed great quality and no loose threads. I returned the item though since the gloves seemed very tight. I ordered XL since they fit comfortable for other brands and I wear XL on nitrile gloves also but these were uncomfortably tight to the point my fingers felt like circulation would be an issue if I would wear these for more than an hour.

O seu duplo sistema de gel é ótimo para pedais que tem muita pancada ou longos. Ela tem uma espécie de "toalhinha" no dedão que é ótimo para limpar suor do olho ou boca. É muito respirável e fresca de usar no verão. Achei ótimo também ter alta proteção solar. O encaixe na mão é muito bom e ela é fácil de tirar, devido ao velcro e duas alças abaixo dos dedos para puxar.

Better than all the rest. Better than any glove...I've ever met. Love the extra gel and the wide opening / velcro for my meat hands.

I have a wide hand and the Large size fit me well. In two months of riding they show no sign of wear. I have two pair and have machine washed both, they come out looking like new.

Love the gloves. Have purchased this particular glove from Specialized ever since I started riding in 2010. They aid in comfort with the padding. Durability hasn't been an issue. Just bought 2 new pair.

Nice to find a XXL!

Handling is great. Nimble in the corners, smooth in the bumps. Battery is very good, not as long lasting as my Tero5, but long enuf for a daily thrashing in the woods...among the best bikes out there.

Disappointed with the gloves. Short lived cushion after a few rides. Hands numb after 30 miles.

I have issues with my XXL arthritic hands and wrist. These gloves have the best gel pads I’m that am to be in just the right spot for my hands that helps reduce felt vibration, aches, pains and tingling. They do seem to wear out a little faster, and I tend to rip or tear these gloves but continue to purchase because of what they accomplish allowing me to ride more often and longer

Amazing gloves. People say to size but I don't agree. If you do that the material bunches under your palm. Loads of padding on the palm so should be a great glove for endurance rides. Can't comment on longevity yet.
