1 year on my Turbo Tero in Hawaii

I bought a Turbo Tero one year ago here in Hawaii. I am very happy with its performance this past year. Here in Hawaii most roads are narrow and congested with confused tourists from all over the world. Many hills are shortcuts for me and this ride can handle a pretty steep climb in the lowest gear, although it has its own limits. When I get so steep I need to jump off, it continues up the grade on its own power, without any pushing from me. I use the battery wisely as suggested in the app. I never go below 20% or higher than 80%. At last battery health check, the self diagnostics put my battery at the highest level of health, and I ride everyday except when raining. I chose the Turbo Tero because the balance between performance and price, while getting the advanced over engeneering that Specialized is known for was a no brainer in our crowded e-bike world. The brakes are outstanding on steep downhills. I had the front cargo plate installed which helps with many trips and looks cool. I record each ride on the Specialized App which gives me a good look back at my health progress from each ride. Sometimes the app has snags and rips me off half of my ride, and a few times dropped the entire ride completely. I’ve had to delete and reinstall the app and re program the computer on the bike which was simple and straight forward which fixed things. I will be selling this bike soon while it’s relevant and purchasing a new one. I hope to get 70% of my purchase price, but who knows? Conclusion: The Turbo Tero is only one of a few twenty-niners on the market with this level of value, economy, quality, and hopefully soon: RESALE VALUE. 4 Stars

Holds a half rack and pizza!

Installed on a Turbo Vado 4. Install was pretty smooth. It was easier to route the headlight wire with the "plate" off. Gotta make sure those screws are lined up. The main plate screws go in at an angle so it's easy to cross thread. There was a ton of extra wire for the headlight to be able to pull it out enough to install it at the front of the rack. It it a little odd at first because it is stationary and you can't see the front wheel move. You don't realize even peripherally that you are aware of the front wheel turning. You get used to it, but it was odd the first few rides. Great rack and the bungy hangs onto that pizza well.

    I have not yet put

I have not yet put the front rack on, but it is beautifully built and the web container worked very nicely after i installed to see how it worked and including the ability to move the light was very well done, should one wish to so. . Well done by Specialized

Works well...but the install is a bear with handlebar mount headlight

This front rack works well for light-medium loads without affecting the handling. The installation is no big deal unless you have a front light, particularly one that is stem mounted and/or has a remote for overdrive mode. The rack includes a front light extension cable kit (S236800005), because you'll need extra cable length to move the light to the front rack, and if you have a stem mount light, they don't tell you that you'll need a Suntour fork style adapter mount (S225800009) for the light to attach to the rack. There is also only one 3M UY2 quick connect included with the cable extensions so be prepared to splice the second cable using traditional methods or your own quick connects. Installing the cable extension also requires accessing the motor ports, so get your 8mm hex, T20 torx wrench and wire strippers ready. Also if you have the overdrive light remote, you literally cannot use it anymore while riding and must jankily mount it to the rack itself.

    Unavailable online or anywhere else

I purchased a Vado 5 largely because it supported a front rack but once I started trying to buy the front rack I find it’s unavailable and has been for more than a year. Specialized still shows this item for sale as an accessory to their bikes but does not make it available. Very disappointed.
