We took the tread design of the Fast Trak 2Bliss Ready tire a step further by manipulating each knob with Finite Element Analysis. We improved an already proven tread by having more consistent shoulder blocks for better cornering traction, while the block spacing is configured for better self-cleaning. The tread of this 2Bliss Ready version is also slightly wider compared to the S-Works version, which protects the sidewalls and delivers additional cornering bite. Lastly, our proprietary GRIPTON® compound gives the tire a livelier feel and more grip in either wet or dry conditions.

tires are great so far (6 months)

tires are great so far (6 months), first time I use gas traks, but I can't agree with the recommended pressure on sidewalls. I use 22-22 psi, when recommend is 25. Everyone is telling me that I will rip the walls off, so it's a concern, but with 25psi i find the tires too harsh.

These were made for me!!!

For me these are perfect. I usually have to ride on the road for several miles to get to and from the trails, and though the trails I ride are quite rocky, rutty and sandy, these handle very well for both road and trails. They're fast, but the wider 2.3 gives me all I need on the trail as well. Because of the tread pattern, even though they're less aggressive, climbing is still perfect! I am buying another pair as soon as these are worn out.

good traction, inconsistent diameter

These tires have excellent traction on gravel and snow, the two surfaces I rode on since buying them. However, the diameter is inconsistent and there is quite a thump when riding on pavement because of manufacturing inconsistencies.

Best all around XC tire

This newest Fast Trak tire is my favorite XC tire out there. Pervious generation was good - but Gripton rubber definitely enhances wet traction. I've generally used the 2.3 front and 2.1 combo that comes stock on the Epic. I've tried 2.3/2.3 and 2.1/2.1 but prefer the 2.3/2.1 combo. I run them on 25mm internal rims, weight about 160lbs, and generally run between 18-22 psi depending on weather. I actually prefer the grip of the Fast Trak over the Ground Control - not sure why? maybe more biting edges? And I haven't really ever felt the need to go to Renegade - Fast Trak feels road bike fast. Other tires I've used extensively are Racing Ralph and Ikon - but I've tried plenty of others - and I've liked certain things about plenty of tire - but haven't liked any other tire all around any more than the Fast Trak.

Great for everything except sand

Standard equipment on my 2018 Epic Hardtail, in 2.3 and 2.1 front and rear, respectively. Super supple tire. I've really been impressed with how it rolls, and handles hardpack, intermediate, and even slightly loamy trails. On loose, dry, sandy two-tracks (I'm talking borderline BEACH sand) however, is where this thing becomes unrideable as a front tire. It just will not track straight, despite paying close attention to/adjusting/correcting form and even trying sub-20psi pressures (which is a bad recipe for 200lb me). It immediately starts to track left or right and abruptly cuts hard the other way; I know sand is never easy to navigate, but these observations are relative to another legendary XC tire from another manufacturer that track much straighter in these situations in my experience. Now full disclosure, my bike fit has me weighted over the bars in a pretty aggressive XC posture, which compounds the issue, but again my past experiences with other tires has been in the same condition. Aside from loose sand, I've quickly grown to love this tire in every other condition. If you don't deal with much sand, I highly recommend.

Amazing grip and traction!

My Specialized S-Works Epic came stock with Fast Trak tires 2.3 up front and 2.1 in the rear. I rode it ""stock"" for several rides and was very impressed with the grip and traction these tires had, even in greasy conditions. Our local trails are mostly hardpack dirt with some rocks/roots. Some of our trails might have smaller, loose rock and more off-camber roots. Just depends. Overall, these tires performed well over whatever I chose to ride for trails on any given day. Towards mid-season, I decided to see how the bike would ride with 2.3 size tires both front and rear. Let's see what this size combo can do! I felt confident and stable. I briefly tried my tire preference from last year (Bontrager XR 2 Team Issue) and found that the Specialized Fast Trak tires had a much more supple ride feel. I felt for the tread pattern and my usual air pressure of 18/19 psi, they were an awesome choice for most of my rides. I swapped back to my Fast Trak tires after 2 rides on the others- for me there wasn't a question. I wanted a comfortable ride feel with good grip and traction for my usual terrain. The Fast Trak tires gave that to me, no doubt. I regularly have to scope out our local trails to update trail conditions and I've ridden my fair share on greasy uphills; I've been very impressed! I also use these tires on my Specialized S-Works Epic HT for gravel riding and find them to be great for that type of riding, too. Gravel isn't my first choice, and I want my ""gravel bike"" to be able to easily transition from gravel to mtb trail, so the Fast Trak makes a perfect choice. My few rides on gravel this year were on more fresh gravel vs. hardpack, and I found that I had ample traction for our hills!
