Great Tire in varying and unexpected conditions.

I am an amateur race enthusiast. So far, I have ridden two 100-mile races and the North Course of Unbound XL on these tires. These tires have handled mud, sand, and big and small rocks well. On Barry-Roubaix, I completed the course in under 6:30 to earn the coveted mug. In a Local 100-mile race, I won on these tires. Finally, I just finished UB XL with them. I had a puncture that quickly sealed, not noticing until I came home and cleaned the bike. After 700 miles of riding, the tread still looks great, and the tire keeps performing well.

Grippy and fast rolling

700x42, I put these on my 2017 Fuji Absolute bike and was able to tear single track mountain bike loops with confidence! These have so much grip. I don't weigh a lot so I'm able to drop the pressures down to 28psi with inner tubes and these handle rocks, roots, dirt with ease! I will for sure be buying these again.

Rhombus

Great tires. Use it as a front paired with the pathfinder on rear you get the fast rolling rear with the grip in front. Using this as a rear tire is good too the center knobs are supportive on the straights.

Helped me win my first gravel ride! (42mm)

These are GREAT tires, stick well in just about anything you throw at them. Really love the traction they give in the gravel, goop and sand. They also roll pretty smooth and corner confidently on pavement, admittedly with a little noise. My speed on pavement is only off just a bit from the 32mm Armadillos Elites I normally run on the road. They aren't much heavier either. They are super easy to mount by hand on the Terra CLX wheels I have. I set them up tubeless with a regular tire pump, it was super super easy and I didn't need to break out the air can!!! They seated right up and held air immediately and I've had no leaky sidewall messiness since I put in the sealant. Note for the Creo SL folks, the 47mm fits, but has ZERO clearance for mud and goop. You really want the 42s, and even they might clog up in the really sticky mud. They are so good I won my age group (55+) at the first gravel (eGravel) race I've ever entered in my life in Kremmling last weekend... what a thrill!

It’s a fine tire, but (like most/all tires) volume will be impacted by rim width. On my 12-year old rims, the tire is significantly thinner than on my modern wheels. The difference is striking, and changes how the tire corners.

A Beast on loose dirt and mud! -But Squirrely on pavement

My local bike shop mounted Rhombus Pros on my Salsa Warbird after the OEM Maxxis Ramblers tread delaminated after only 800 miles. The Rhombus is a beast on loose dirt and moderate mud (as long as it's not too deep). Very impressive! The Rhombus also rides well on packed dirt and pea-gravel but have a tendency to grab and throw smaller bits of gravel into the air, pelting your back and helmet. I will note that, at speed, on pavement, the Rhombus gets a bit squirrely and likes to try to steer you where you don't want to go. So, keep your wits about you when descending steep curvy hills on tarmac.

Can't believe how well it rolls

So far, I just can't believe how great this tire is. Using it as a front tire for mostly-dirt rides, local MTB track in South Bay, CA. It's never washed out on me in the front. And I simply can't believe how well it rolls on flats and pavement. I don't get it. To me, so far, this is the THE perfect gravel tire, especially in the front, if you ride a little more aggressively than gravel roads. It rolls so well I might just use it in back as well.

My favorite tire for moderate to difficult terrain in southern California

I'm running the Rhombus Pro 42s on my 3 month old Turbo Creo SL Comp Carbon EVO on a new Roval Terra CLX carbon wheelset. The setup is tubeless (32 and 45 psi). They're built using an additional set of brake rotors and rear cassette that match my originals, These tires are confidence building on steep or technical single track and fire roads with large cobbles. Since I started riding on the new wheels and tires I'm finding less of a reason to ride my mountain bike. They are also shockingly fast on pavement. I have ran well over 30mph on slight downhills. I've kept the stock wheels and Pathfinder Pro 38s for road and light gravel duty. The Pathfinders are quite good on dirt and gravel, but I needed more traction for step ascents, descents and technical sections. I run the Pathfinders between 45 and 65psi depending on the ride. Having both sets of wheels gives me the best of both worlds. The Rhombus Pros and Pathfinders are the perfect tires for most rides on San Diego/So Cal.

Game changers!

I installed these Rhombus tires on my new Turbo Creo SL Carbon Comp EVO paired with Rapide C38 Wheels (an upgrade). While the stock tires (Pathfinder Pro's) were awesome and gripped well in gravel or dirt and could run on low inflation pressure, the Rhombus brings riding on the loose, steep, off camber, gravel and dirt fire service roads to a whole new level. They can be ridden at very low pressure (I run at 34-36 lbs, tubeless with sealant) and they are wider with better cornering. It's like riding with thin mountain bike tires. They also do well on asphalt surfaces due to the high center ridge (obviously the Pathfinders are smoother on asphalt). But since 75% of my riding is on steep, twisty, and loose gravel or dirt roads, the Rhombus is a perfect upgrade for my gravel e-bike.

I wish these came in a 47mm!

Rolls faster than I expected for how well the tire hooks up once the dirt gets loose and steep. Give me 47mm versions!

Diverge evo comp

Rode these on my local trail non tubeless and was very impressed with the grip it provided, especially the shoulders knobs and grip when braking.

Lives up to expectations

These came standard with my Diverege EVO Flat bar. I removed the inner tube so as to go tubeless as soon as I got home. They exceeded my expectations. Fabulous for cornering on loose surfaces thanks to the aggressive side-nobs. Great for climbing thanks to the traction that a 42cm tubeless tire at low PSI can provide. Works well enough on sealed roads - i.e., I can hold the wheel of my friends on their regular gravel bikes. The one disadvantage is the weight that comes with 42cm. But that's a worthwhile trade-off.
